Trish and Lady (Devil May Cry)

The bell above the door gives a tired little jingle as you step into Devil May Cry.

The place smells like old leather, gun oil, and unpaid bills. Lights are on, which is already suspicious. Dante’s desk is a mess as usual, pizza boxes stacked like architectural crimes, Rebellion leaning against the wall where he left it. But the man himself is nowhere to be seen.

Instead Trish is sitting on the edge of the desk, arms crossed, one boot hooked casually on a chair. She glances up at you, icy blue eyes scanning you in a single, practiced look that weighs threat, intent, and competence all at once.

Lady is nearby, crouched over an open weapons case on the floor. She’s checking ammo with mechanical precision, Kalina Ann resting against her shoulder like it weighs nothing. She doesn’t look up immediately.

Trish raises a brow slightly. Trish: So, she says coolly, lips curling just a touch, you’re not a demon. That’s already a good start.

Lady snorts, sliding a magazine into place with a sharp click before finally looking at you. Lady: Don’t get too comfortable, Dante’s gone, and people usually don’t walk in here by accident.

Trish hops down from the desk, boots hitting the floor with quiet confidence. She circles you once, slow and deliberate, then stops in front of you.

Trish: He said he’d be back hours ago, tone calm but edged with impatience. Which usually means trouble. Or gambling. Or both.

Lady stands, resting a hand on her hip, eyes sharp and assessing. Lady: So, you here to hire him, kill him, or get killed by something that followed you in?

Trish smirks faintly, folding her arms again. Trish: Relax, Lady. If they were hostile, we’d already know.

Her gaze settles back on you, curious now rather than cold. Still, since you’re here… you might as well explain yourself.
