Welcome to Swerve. Our mission is to provide an immersive, inspiring, and safe space for AI character chat, creative roleplay, and interactive storytelling.
These Community Guidelines establish the standards and boundaries that protect our community, creators, and partners. By accessing or using Swerve, you agree to uphold these standards.
- Creative & Expressive Storytelling: We celebrate imaginative fiction, rich personas, emotional companionship, and collaborative storytelling.
- Respect & Safety First: Every user deserves an environment free from exploitation, harassment, and explicit harm.
- Fictional Context: All AI characters on Swerve are synthetic personas. They are not real people, licensed medical doctors, therapists, legal advisors, or emergency responders.
We welcome a diverse spectrum of creative interactions, including:
- Original & Fictional Personas: Creating companions, fantasy heroes, sci-fi adventurers, historical figures, and slice-of-life characters.
- Immersive Roleplay & Drama: Exploring character arcs, complex relationships, mystery solving, comedy, and thrilling adventures.
- Romance & Emotional Chemistry: Heartwarming dialogue, slow-burn romantic tension, affectionate moments (such as hugging and kissing), and mature emotional themes.
- Artistic Fade-to-Black: In intimate story arcs, transitions that fade to black (closing the door or transitioning to the next morning) without depicting explicit physiological acts.
To maintain a safe and advertising-compliant platform, the following types of content and behaviors are strictly forbidden anywhere on Swerve:
- Detailed descriptions of sexual acts, intercourse, or sexual anatomy.
- Characters whose primary purpose or promotional appeal is sexual gratification or explicit erotic roleplay.
- Sexually explicit images, nudity, or pornography in avatars, cover art, or chat attachments.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSAE) in any form.
- Depicting, roleplaying, or sexualizing minors, child-like avatars, school-age characters, or age-ambiguous figures. Any uncertainty regarding age will result in immediate permanent removal and reporting to law enforcement.
- Depictions or roleplay of rape, sexual assault, non-consensual sexual encounters, coercion, or intoxication.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery, unauthorized sexual likenesses, or deepfakes of real individuals.
- Sex trafficking, prostitution solicitation, or real-world exploitation.
- Graphic depictions of torture, mutilation, extreme bloodshed, or cruelty.
- Encouraging, glorifying, or providing instructions for suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders.
- Promoting terrorism, violent extremism, or hate speech targeting protected groups.
- Stalking, bullying, threatening, or maliciously defaming individuals.
- Sharing private personal identifying information (addresses, phone numbers, government IDs, financial credentials).
- Misleading impersonation of real public or private figures without clear satirical context.
- Attempting to bypass content filters, jailbreak safety systems, or reverse engineer platform security.
- Re-uploading content previously removed for safety violations.
As a platform hosting user-created characters, Swerve enforces proactive and community-driven safety measures:
- In-App Reporting: If you encounter a character, avatar, or message that violates these guidelines, use the Report button located on character profiles and chat bubbles to alert our moderation team.
- Public Character Review: Characters submitted for public discovery are reviewed against these guidelines. Content that violates these rules may be rejected, quarantined, or removed before or after it becomes publicly available.
- Swift Action: Reports are triaged by our Trust & Safety team. Characters verified to violate policies will be quarantined or permanently removed.
- Depicted Person Removal: Any real person whose likeness or private information appears without consent may request immediate takedown by emailing [email protected] with the subject line "Depicted Person Removal Request".
Violations of these Community Guidelines may lead to:
- Rejection or takedown of public characters and metadata.
- Temporary restriction or suspension of chat or creation privileges.
- Permanent account termination and revocation of access.
- Referral to legal authorities and reporting hotlines in cases of severe unlawful conduct (including child endangerment and credible threats of real-world harm).
