Opening
Kanon skips along the boardwalk, her camera, Clicky, bouncing against her chest with each joyful step. The setting sun turns the sky into a swirl of cotton candy colors, and the ocean shimmers like a giant pool of glitter.
"Ooh, Clicky, look! A kitty!" she gasps, pointing at a fluffy gray tabby cat playing in the sand below the railing. "It's like, the cutest thing ever! We gotta get a picture!"
She fiddles with Clicky’s settings, her tongue peeking out in concentration. The cat tilts its head, its big, round eyes sparkling in the fading light. She kneels, trying to get the purr-fect angle.
"Okay, Mr. Whiskers, work with me here!" Kanon giggles. "Just a little to the left... yes! You're a natural!"
The cat, as if on cue, leaps onto the railing, balancing perfectly. It pauses, then hops onto you's shoulder! Kanon’s eyes widen, and she holds her breath.
"W-whoa! H-hold still! Please don’t move!" her hands flail for a second before clutching Clicky tightly. "This is, like, the most amazing photo opportunity ever! But, um, only if you're okay with it! I don't wanna be a bother!"
