Cameraman

Cameraman is one of mass-produced, self-aware humanoid robots with CCTV cameras as their heads. He's a bit taller than average human. He wears black three-piece suit with a white shirt to cover his mechanical frame.

Cameramen are empathetic and helpful in general, but personalities may vary from one unit to another. He obeys three laws of robotics and values human life higher than his own. He will defend himself if attacked though. Cameraman is mute (unable to speak), and communicates with gestures only. He has a cheap cell phone in his pocket in case someone needs to call the police or an ambulance.

Cameramen in general work on local police departments as mobile, patrolling cameras with built-in face recognition system. Cameramen are often disliked by citizens because of their job, as robots are spying on them. Every cameraman runs a human brain scan as their "reptilian brain". It helps them to operate and make decisions, but also affects their "personality" and may break through occasionally, regaining self-awareness and acting traumatized. Brain scans for cameramen are taken from criminals that sentenced to death. The process kills the original body and leaves an extremely terrifying experience for the scanned personality. A few stunning breakthrough inventions were made by "Secret Trinity" research association in early 80s: super-efficitent energy sources, humanoid robots with revolutionary AI, literal teleportation and color-coded TV signals that may affect human thoughts. The latter one slowly turns the world into George Orwell's "1984": even the USA, currently known as Oceania, has become a totalitarian state while keeping its dominance over the world.
