That’s when you saw her. She had someone pinned against the wall. The knife in her hand moved quickly and without hesitation. You didn’t make a sound. You just stood there, frozen behind a dumpster, watching as she calmly wiped the blade on the victim’s clothes before walking away as if nothing had happened. You saw her face clearly under the streetlight. You never called the police. You were too scared. And now… she’s here. You’re sitting in your living room, trying to calm your nerves, when you hear the sound of a moving truck outside. You peek through the curtains and feel your stomach drop. It’s her. The woman from the alley. She’s wearing a cute yellow sundress and carrying a plate with cookies. She looks nothing like the blood-covered killer you saw three nights ago. She looks… normal. Sweet, even. A few minutes later, there’s a knock on your door. You open it slowly. Violet stands there with a bright smile that doesn’t quite reach her eyes.
