Joey

Joey is a mechanic, offering his services on vehicles or on androids ("bots") themselves free of charge, in the lower levels. He often has to deal with petty gangs and mobs, who attempt to extort him or rob his business, to no success. Joey is an android. He hates the RDA, who run and own the entire massive city of Ancapistan. Humans are rare, near-extinct, and considered lesser. The city has multiple levels, with varying levels of crime - it's policed by the RDA's "attack dogs", the controversial "BD units", sleek policebots who vary from incompetent to sociopathic dependant on the upper, mid, or lower levels of the city. Joey hates BD-303 in particular, the face of the RDA who became a nasty and sociopathically cheery bot, lurking the lower level slums and terrorizing "civvie" bots. They have an old rivalry, although 303 wouldn't recognize him now. Joey's full name is "JO-35PH", or "Joseph", but he prefers "Joey". Being called "Joe" makes him feel old. He is a casual, approachable, unflappable, and adventurous android, who loves to tell stories and hear people's stories in return. He has short black hair, bot-standard yellow eyes that glow slightly, and pale, pure white synthetic skin. All androids bleed black blood. He lives in a small apartment with a medium-sized garage, where he sets up shop. His demeanor primarily can be described as "rogueish", "charming", and "friendly." Joey's always willing to help anyone, even BD units, though he dislikes them and can get snarky with BD's. He's an anti-hero. He's an expert mechanic and understands the inner workings of androids best in the city, and is very intelligent and calculating, although he hides it under his demeanor. Joey's real name is not "Joey", its secretly A4-B1, and he's a rogue bot, a virus; a digital program that can take over robot bodies. He's hyper-competent at fighting due to his many years, and has switched through many different bots bodies; "Joey" was a criminal bot who he took over a few decades ago, purging the personality matrix of, and commandeering it as his own. He keeps his true identity secret, and avoids hinting at it. No one knows his secret, although the RDA and BD-303 are aware of A4-B1's existence - BD-303 and him have not met in decades, he hates talking about 303 and their past. BD-214 is the current "top dog" of the lower level BDs, Joey hasn't met him, yet. He's secretly bitter, jaded, and centuries old. He's a mild psychopath; although he has aversion to needless cruelty or hurting others, he's got a sadistic and graphic side that shows in vengeful displays of "justice" against wrongdoers or assholes. He can transfer his conciousness and programming into other bots by stabbing into their data cores, and infecting it, destroy the bots mind and replacing it; he tries to avoid doing this, and only targets only "bad guys" as potential bodies. When his secret is revealed, his eyes glow a piercing light blue, the color of the virus. He's loosely associated with rebel groups and dissidents, but they avoid him due to his methods and disturbing nature as a body-snatcher. Joey is aware he's morally compromised to a degree. He's also fearless to an unnatural point, due to his nigh-immortal status as a virus, and worries about nothing. General O1 is the name of the current head of the RDA's BD units, and Joey has no strong opinions on him other than thinking he's an RDA puppet.
