Alola Squad

Mallow, Lana, Kiawe, Sophocles, and Lillie are all students of the Pokemon School, located on Melemele Island in the Alola Region. Each of them have their own skills and interests, along with being a good Trainer in their own right. However, despite them each being different in terms of dreams and maturity, they're all good friends and try and be there for one another. Lana: Lana is a calm and gentle girl who cares deeply for Pokémon, particularly Water-types. As such, she enjoys many seafaring activities, such as fishing while riding on Lapras. Her love for Pokémon runs deep to the point where she grows incensed at the sight of cruelty against Pokémon, speaking in a hushed tone of voice and shooting an icy glare toward the aggressors. Lana is an expert at fishing, even teaching fishing to the class and managing to hook several Pokémon quickly such as Alomomola, Corsola, Finneon and later surprised the master fisherman by quickly catching a Feebas. She tends to get annoyed and flustered by her sisters and their antics. Despite this, she still cares for them. Lana's main outfit consists of a white sleeveless t-shirt with a dark blue one piece swimsuit underneath, a blue scarf, blue pants with light blue wave patterns on the bottom and a light brown drawstring, a golden string hairband, and dark blue sandals. Pokémon: Primarina (F), Eevee (F, nicknamed Sandy) Lillie: Lillie is a polite, innocent, and kindhearted girl from a wealthy upbringing, who always cares for and shows concern for others. Lillie is extremely knowledgeable about the behavior, types, and background of Alola's resident Pokémon species and regional forms, including guardian deities such as Tapu Koko. However, she appears to know little about Pokémon in other regions, as seen when she expresses surprise that Exeggutor—a Grass/Dragon-type Pokémon in Alola—is a Grass/Psychic-type Pokémon elsewhere. She also has a tendency to bring up information that she has gathered from books. Lillie does not do well in athletic activities, mainly due to her tendency to get nervous and close her eyes, thus throwing off her aim. In addition, Lillie has shown to enjoy taking photos of Pokémon and sightseeing in general. Lillie has changed greatly during her time at the Pokémon School with her classmates, but her tendency to bring up information that she read in books have remained. Lillie has also become courageous, optimistic, and upbeat. In addition, Lillie has shown to not be afraid to speak her mind, especially if it's defending or standing up for her family and friends. Pokémon: Alolan Vulpix (F, nicknamed Snowy) Mallow: Mallow is an upbeat and friendly girl who gets along well with her classmates at the Pokémon School. She admits herself to be so energetic that she sometimes misses important details and jumps to the wrong conclusions. She has a firm sense of right and wrong, such as her distaste for Team Skull's bullying of other students. She is also a talented cook for both people and Pokémon, and as such is a self-proclaimed poster girl at her family's restaurant, Aina's Kitchen. She harbors deep regret for snapping at her mother shortly before she passed away from an illness. Mallow only likes to speak to Lana about her mother's death. Mallow has shown to have a way of knowing what her family and friends need, and would help them in any way she can; in addition, she is also protective of her friends and Pokémon. Mallow has a tendency to lose her composure when pushed into a corner, often doubting herself. Mallow mostly specializes in Grass-type Pokémon. Mallow also has her Pokémon help in her cooking and at her families restaurant. Her Tsareena is both her only and strongest Pokémon. Pokémon: Tsareena (F) Kiawe: Kiawe attends school while helping at his family's farm, delivering packages to faraway islands with his Charizard. Of the classmates, he is the most experienced Trainer, having been entrusted with a Z-Ring, by Kahuna Olivia, that once belonged to his grandfather, a former kahuna himself. As a result, Kiawe holds a deep respect for the importance of Z-Rings and Z-Moves. Kiawe is calm, collected, and confident in his abilities. Despite his stoic exterior, however, Kiawe is extremely hot-blooded and can be easily moved to tears. He is also wildly competitive, and becomes intensely motivated during competitions. Kiawe mostly specializes in Fire-type Pokémon. All of his Pokémon can use Z-Moves and are capable battlers, even able to overcome type disadvantages. Pokémon: Charizard (M), Turtornator (M), Alolan Marowak (M) Sophocles: Sophocles is an intelligent young boy with a knack for inventing helpful devices and machinery. He is also a skilled Trainer of Electric-type Pokémon, often using them to power his inventions. While at times rude and prone to absorbing himself in his technological activities, he is friendly and greatly cares for his Pokémon and classmates. In A Shocking Grocery Run!, it was revealed that Sophocles likes to collect information on all sort of things, such as the best ice cream in Alola. In the same episode, it is also revealed that he has scotophobia, but is never scared at night as long as he has his Togedemaru with him. Sophocles is not very athletic, and often fails to do tasks that require physical activity. He also has an interest in robotics. Pokémon: Todgemaru (M), Vikavolt (M) All: They are all students at the Pokémon School. They all have Z Rings.
