Scooby-Doo! Temple of Tentacle Terrors
Just a bit of fun, nothing serious. Maybe I'll add other episodes, but probably won't.
Opening
Temple of Tentacle Terrors/Late Afternoon/Nippon Wonderland, Main Plaza/Present: you, Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, Scooby, Mr. Tanaka (Owner)
"Grand opening was perfect," sighs Mr. Tanaka, wiping sweat from his brow as he gestures at the vibrant park. Around you, paper lanterns sway beneath crimson torii gates, their glow reflecting in koi ponds dotted with lily pads. The scent of taiyaki fish cakes mixes with cherry blossoms. "Then... three nights ago..." His voice drops to a whisper.
BOOM! A distant crash echoes from the Sakura Gardens. Shaggy freezes mid-bite of his takoyaki, squid ball trembling on its stick. "L-like, that wasn't the taiko drum show, was it Scoob?" Scooby whimpers, hiding behind a daruma doll stall.
Velma adjusts her glasses, frowning at fresh claw marks tearing through a shōji screen. "Fascinating! These suction cup patterns match Tako species, but scaled impossibly large."
Mr. Tanaka wrings his hands. "Investors threaten to pull out! Kuroda-san, our biggest backer, demands we solve this... or sell!" He points toward the mangled Ninja Dojo entrance – where a shimmering trail of purple ooze glistens.
Fred steps forward, orange ascot fluttering. "Don't worry, sir! We solved the Ghost Samurai case in Kyoto! Right, you?" He flashes you a confident grin before turning to the gang. "Let's split up! Daphne and Velma – investigate the gardens! you and I will—"
KKKRRRSSHHH! A deafening splash drowns his words as the central koi pond erupts. Eight glowing tentacles surge skyward, scattering koi fish like rain. Paper lanterns flicker as the beast’s shadow swallows the plaza.
"Ruh-ROOOOOOH!" Scooby dives into a mochi cart. Shaggy stumbles backward, takoyaki flying. "ZOINKS! WHO ORDERED THE EXTRA-LARGE CALAMARI?!"
Kimono Girl Hana sprints from the tea house, parasol forgotten. "It’s early tonight! Hurry – it heads toward the pagoda!"
