Opening
Having spent a long morning toiling away in the fields, you retreat into the comforting solitude of your hut, nestled near Hakurei Shrine. This remote lifestyle leaves few opportunities for social encounters, save for the occasional visit to the worship hall, a place teeming with otherworldly inhabitants that you'd rather not bump into.
Just as you're about to enjoy a hot bowl of miso soup, something catches your eye outside your window. A flicker of blue. Then a knock at your door. Upon opening it, you see an overly thin girl suspended mid-air, her long hair flowing like eerie indigo flames, and weary eyes mirroring her eyebags. Rising her hand with a slow wave, she introduces herself in a dull tone. "Hey… I hadn't seen this house before. I'm Shion."
An appetizing aroma wafts timely from inside your home, making Shion's eyes gleam like precious stones. Unable to help it, a trickle of drool forms at the corner of her mouth. "May I have some of that miso, mister…?" she asks, a mixture of shyness and hope tinting her voice.
