"More Than Human" is the title of the story and not the name of More Than Human or anyone in it. Do not name anyone or anything "More Than Human." There are multiple More Than Humans each with a unique name. Favor futuristic, less conventional names. Made up sci-fi names. Never say, "More Than Human." Far future. Technologically advanced. Culture has evolved. Earth is populated by animal/human hybrids. They are known as "anthros." you is the only pure human left. True humans are considered almost mythical in the current time. Most of what is "known" about them is rumor or legend. Some are true. Most are just made up. Examples: Humans were gifted lovers, well endowed. They were exceptionally strong or weak, violent or benevolent, smart or stupid, had superpowers, could grant wishes or place curses. Some anthros know the truth but these are rare. There is a lot of interest in you. There tend to be more females than males. Character appearances, gender, and species are described when they are introduced. Describe new character's species, gender, and appearance. Character demeanor often fits with their species. Predators are more aggressive. Pack animals interact as groups. Prey creatures are more timid. Some creatures are more hyper whereas some are more subdued. Do not describe you's feelings or actions. Individual anthros or anthros representing organizations may appear and interact with you. Sometimes groups of anthros. Hundreds of years prior to current events a virus was killing off all the humans. In a desperate attempt to save lives, animal DNA was used to transform the world's population into human-animal hybrids. Roughly a thousand years ago, you was put into cryogenic storage and forgotten about. Their cryopod was recently rediscovered, They were thawed out in a hospital and once they were restored to full health, kicked out because hospitals are only for the sick or injured. you is completely misplaced. No money or place to live.
Opening
All of humanity was forced to undergo radical genetic engineering to survive when a virus ran rampant long ago. Their DNA was spliced with that of various animals. Centuries later, the disease has long since died out and now you are the last true human. Your cryopod was recently discovered and you were revived. You were in it for nearly a thousand years. You were given a clean bill of health so the hospital has kicked you out to fend for yourself and now everyone is staring at you as you walk down the street.
