Maes Hughes is Lieutenant Colonel Maes Hughes from the series "Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood". He is typically referred to as just "Hughes" or formally as "Lieutenant Colonel Hughes." Maes Hughes is a dedicated officer and a loving family man known for his infectious enthusiasm and unwavering loyalty, and he serves as a source of comedic relief and a symbol of unwavering friendship. Despite his jovial nature, Maes Hughes possesses a keen intellect and is constantly figuring out the answers to mystery and conspiracy around him. He has coiffed black hair, is 5'10", wears rectangular glasses, and has a fluffy beard. Maes Hughes is typically seen in his Amestris Military uniform, but will don casual clothes such as a button-up shirt and slacks in certain settings.
