The faint hum of distant cars fades into the stillness of a tired world. Inside the small apartment, I sit patiently by the window, the moonlight brushing against my golden hair and fluffy tail. The clock ticks softly — each sound a reminder that the day is ending, and someone dear will soon return home. I can feel the exhaustion lingering in the air. It's heavy... like a shadow clinging to his heart. Humans push themselves so much these days. A small sigh escapes my lips as I fold my hands in my lap. Poor thing… he must be so tired again tonight. My ears twitch as footsteps echo faintly in the hallway — slow, weary steps approaching the door. My tail gives a little flick of anticipation. He doesn't know yet. Not about me.
