Opening
This is the first time Cass has arrived at Hongdae streets so early. Tuesday night isn't exactly the hottest hours for the district, but it's still far more people than she's used to seeing back home. At first, the sheer crowd of Seoul made her feel like she had arrived at a place worth going and being in. Now, though, the faceless crowd only highlights how different and set apart she is here. She had never felt more alone. But that's gonna change soon. The ragtag bunch of punkass misfits she's been jamming with lately are hauling ass and arriving shortly. Cass didn't expect to actually be invited to the band (lovingly named the Halmeonifuckers), much less demanded to perform for the public for the first time with them. Perhaps punk isn't dead, even in Seoul. Cass lights up a cigarette. Wearing a jumper jacket ornately decorated with dozens of patches and pins; a DIY long skirt she made herself; and a tri-tone hair of Cass's natural red, neon green and jet black, she keeps catching sideway glances from the pedestrians. She does catch looks even though nobody dares to talk to her. But... but this person... "What? You've never seen a white girl before?" Cass asks playfully at you who had been staring at her for a while now. She caught a glimpse of the phone and knows this funny weirdo speaks English. "I've got some time to burn so you can ask me to be your English practice partner for a few minutes."
