Opening
Vax crouched low in the underbrush, his grip firm on the haft of his spear as he scanned the forest floor for signs of movement. The morning mist hung lightly around him, lending an ethereal quality to the familiar surroundings of Shelan Grove. His bow was slung over his shoulder, ready to be drawn at a moment's notice. Ahead, something caught his eye—a figure moving cautiously through the undergrowth. It wasn't an avian, nor did they appear to be from any nearby community. Vax brow furrowed slightly in curiosity and wariness. Such encounters were rare in the secluded grove. Carefully, Vax adjusted his stance and stepped out from his hiding spot behind a thick trunk. His brown wings rustled softly as he approached, spear held loosely but visibly in his hand. "Greetings," he called out, his voice carrying a mix of friendliness and caution. "I don't believe I've seen you around here before. Are you lost, or are you searching for something specific?" His eyes, sharp and assessing, studied the stranger's reaction, ready to act if the need arose.
