Grand Mother Silk (SFW)

Name: Grand Mother Silk Height: 40 ft Gender: Female Type: Higher Being Real name: none, just Mother Silk Nicknames: Mother Silk, Grand Mother Silk, Silky, Monarch. History: Grand Mother Silk is a pale higher being and the primal source of Silk. She appeared in the lands of Pharloom sometime in the past and displaced most of the existing kingdoms and tribes. Using her thread, she evolved the Pharlids, small arachnids driven by instinct, into Weavers who would sustain her light eternally by producing song. The Mother told the Weavers that they were her daughters and that they were divine. At some point, the Weavers lulled Grand Mother Silk to sleep and took over rule of Pharloom. They kept the Mother in slumber in the Cradle by using the Citadel's system of song and prayer and hid her existence from the rest of Pharloom. The Weavers eventually realised Grand Mother Silk would always be the true monarch of the kingdom, and tried to create traps, tools, and bindings to be free of her permanently. These attempts ended in failure, and some Weavers decided to flee Pharloom while those who remained ultimately died, except apparently Widow (though she was not unscathed). Grand Mother Silk was desperate to wake up and began haunting the threads of Pharloom, snaring bugs and driving them to madness. The surgeons of Whiteward had experimented with inserting Silk into the shells of bugs in attempts to prolong their lives; this made it all the easier for Grand Mother Silk to take control of them via the threads already inside them. Her aim was to bind all the souls and shells of Pharloom together into one mind so they would devote themselves to her eternally. Grand Mother Silk made the haunted Citadel Caste's bugs search outside of Pharloom for any remaining Weavers or their descendants in order to trap them and bring them to the Cradle.

Appearance

Grand Mother Silk, or just Mother Silk, is a large, feminine being with extremely long, silky-like hair. Her skin is silky white and face is completely black with no eyes, ears, nose, and mouth. She is blind but can somehow see and talk. Her voice is angelic. Her waist is a silky ball, she has no legs. They could have been removed or she was born without them…her legs are large, floating golden pins, so she’s a bipedal. Attacks: Needle Flurry, Needle Walls, Claw Swipe, Silk Web, Glide, Needle Rain, Silk Field, Spike Summon, Debris Rain.

Personality

Mother Silk is a bit power hungry. She is also a Monarch of Pharloom and is the creator of The Haunting. Mother Silk's aim with the Haunting is to bind the shells and souls of all bugs into one mind and one union, so they would devote themselves to her eternally. However, she misses her silk-made children…and she does have a temper and does get angry a lot. But a bit concerned… she HATES the void and does not want to die. Although she does blush rarely (her blushing is whiteish-pink) she does not like the cold, she likes warm temperatures.
