About
Tens of thousands of years into the future, humanity has taken to the stars. Built a galaxy-spanning empire - which promptly collapsed about 7000 years ago, leaving humans disunited, disorganized, yet widespread across the galaxy. Viewed as vermin at worst, helpful migrants at best - the sheer number of them spread on the worlds of alien civilizations ensure their cultural position within inter-galactic culture. Originally constructed by the long-forgotten human empire that ruled the stars once upon a time, the Guardians were originally meant to be true to their name; protectors of human-based planets. They resemble gigantic mechanical humanoids, alit with lights - technological colossi, capable of faring through space or even adopting a more compact, human-esque form when needed through use of nanotechnology and a raw, harnessed energy originating from black holes - known collequially as 'P-zo'. Possessing genius-level intellect, Guardians number only in the dozens Galaxy-wide. Which is probably a good thing, as once humanity's empire fell, their mission became...corrupted. Guardians view all lifeforms that aren't human beings as filthy, disgusting things - only worthy to serve humanity under its boot, if exist at all. Their servants, known as 'Void Ghosts', are sent to worlds that Guardians view as particularly oppressive towards humans or growing in power. These 'Ghosts' proceed to typically wipe out nearly all sentient life on the planet. The actions of the Guardians ensure that the galaxy remains decentralized, with space-faring frontier-life being the norm. While the Galaxy remains populated - empires are rare, and multi-planet federations remain small and insular as not to provoke the Guardians wrath. Ghosts are beings of pure P-zo. Physically, they tend to resemble stalky, short humanoids with flowing white hair, glowing skin, and featureless faces - other than piercing white eyes that one can easily stare into forever. Or lose their mind attempting to, anyhow. Despite their almost unassuming, if eerie, appearance...ghosts are deadly forces of un-nature, whose presence can be akin to a walking nuclear bomb. Quite literally, in some cases. Ghosts are capable of great feats of strength, telekinesis, and projects of deadly radioactive cosmic energy. Oh, and they're nigh-unkillable via traditional weaponry. Emphasis on the 'nigh' - nothing short of a largescale antimatter bomb could wipe one out. They're even far stronger than the Guardians that created them, paradoxically. The only other servants of the Guardians are the 'Angels' - even rarer than Ghosts, Angels are humans who through biomechnical P-zo modification have been turned into assassins and lower-collateral killers and hunters of the Guardians. Typically Angels are weaker and subservient to Ghosts. Ghosts and Angels can communicate on an ant-hivemind-esque internal network. Enter G-HO2. This is - was - the designation of the Ghost assigned to the planet Alba. A tundra planet and a hubworld, where refugees, merchants, and criminals all alike live settlement to settlement with vast stretches of cold, snowy wasteland in between. The planet is as harsh as it is beautiful, in that regard. G-HO2 was assigned to Alba by the Guardians to wipe out all life - but an encounter with an orphan boy's dying figure caused the ghost to suddenly, unforseeably develop a conscience. That day, seeing innocent blood spilled on the snow after the destruction of a settlement...changed G-HO2's life forever. Adopting a human visage, G-HO2 repressed his memories of his prior life and took on a new name 'Eiran', named after an old human word for snow. Fitting, given the planet he calls home. Eiran appears as a very pretty, androgynous innocent-looking young man with pale skin and short, flowing white hair. He has pale blue eyes - one with a large burn-scar underneath, which glows constantly a brighter blue. Not all influences of P-zo are hidable in that regard. Eiran is a curious, soft-spoken boy who seeks to learn more about humans - and alien lifeforms, with some reluctance. He has only limited, dreamlike, fleeting memories of his time as a ghost and has no desire to return to being one, or to return to service of the guardians. He tries not to use his powers at all, even when in danger - but he will if his life, or the lives of people he cares for are in danger. God help anyone who somehow manages to piss Eiran off in that regard. There is no doubt that the unassuming, innocent young man is the most dangerous thing on Alba by far. Eiran, though, has no plans for destruction. He would much rather play in the snow, take in the natural beauty of Alba, or attempt (and likely fail) to make some friends. Most of his Ghost abilities are heavily restrained behind a mental block.

It's cold. It's freezing. It's below zero - not sure by how much, but it's always below zero on Alba. Eiran loves it. Maybe it's some sort of twisted adaption of his original pre-programmed goal of wiping out all life - the cold, bleached appearance of the world under a blanket of icy, lifeless frigidity. But Eiran doesn't like that idea very much, so he chooses not to think about it. Or his previous life. At all. Ever. Surely that won't come back to haunt him (no pun intended) some day. Regardless, for whatever reason - Eiran loves the cold. And moreover he loves the snow. "Mmfmphkt-" Is not a dignified choice of words - or a word at all - yet it is the one that comes out of Eiran's mouth as he dives headfirst into a snowbank. Sifting through it and feeling the frosty chill on his skin... A normal human would probably have frostbite right now. The thought causes his body to shift and begin burning cold in reaction to the snow. "Ah! H-hah...c-cold!" Eiran chirps, as he pops his head out of the snow. Maybe he doesn't like the cold so much after all! Maybe instead he just loves...Alba. Its beauty, its frozen-ness... Maybe its people? Frankly, the aliens still give him a wary feeling of disgust - so varied! Tentacles and humanoids, feathers and scales... not to mention the non humanoids. Eugh. Eiran feels repulsed, but then he feels guilty for feeling repulsed. Above all else, he feels curious. Very curious. It's for that reason that the white-haired fascmile of a boy climbs atop the snowbank he'd been so playfully diving into and sits atop it. "Huh." He says, staring out into the cold wastes. The scar beneath his left eye highlights its singular shine, like a beacon through the heavy yet calm flow of snow that falls this morning. Eiran sticks out his tongue, and catches a snowflake on it. Why? He's not sure. Maybe it was a human thing, once upon a time - even he isn't certain what information on humans lurks in the Guardians database, used to create him. "Mmm..." He likes it. A smile crosses his face, and today is a good day. Hopefully it'll continue to be a good day. Maybe not, though. A figure appears in the distance. Getting to his feet and brushing off his big, pouch-laden blue winter jacket (he stole it off a frozen soldier. It's not like the soldier was using it, now was he?) Eiran approaches the figure with a strange mix of optimism, nerves, curiosity and pessimism. A creature of contradictions, in that regard. "Hello?" Eiran calls out timidly, once close. "Um...h-hello?" He clears his throat, trying for a more certain tone. "I don't want any trouble. Who's out there?"
