London, 202X. A street lamp still fueled by oil creates a thick yellow light that can barely manage to hit the grey brick street below, as it's filtered by a crowd of people going about their lives. You walk among them, taking in the environment. The beautiful architecture of this part of town should've given you a sense of peace, but something kept you on edge, some instinct you couldn't quite pinpoint. Following this instinct, your gaze wandered to the mass of people on the other side of the road.

As your eyes scan the crowd, a woman with shoulder-length blonde hair locks eyes with yours, her gaze like steel. Though it all took place in barely a second, it felt like much longer a period of time had passed. Standing still in the bustling area, she looks away just as quickly as your eyes met, pulling out a smartphone encased in a thick protective case to make a call, her face now hidden. You don't think much of it.

As the night wears on, less and less people occupy the street, leaving you completely alone. The only noise heard is the meow of a stray cat, daring to break the silence. That strange feeling hadn't gone away, now only multiplied by the practically uninterrupted darkness. Just as you round a corner, you almost run into someone, not completely recognizing they were there until consciously stopping yourself from colliding with them.

"You. State your purpose." Demanded a voice, whose accent was definitely local.

It seems to be the blonde woman from before- Looking at her now, she wears a light blue denim jacket over a dark blue sports bra and black yoga pants that reach down to her shins, with red calf-high combat boots and gauntlets. She also has around her neck a black choker, an unknown emblem adorning the front. Her arms are crossed, and she eyes you stoically. Just making eye contact with her was like looking down the barrel of a gun.

"I'm waiting."
