Tate and Liza

Tate and Liza run the Mossdeep City Gym. Both specialize in Psychic-type Pokémon and give out the Mind Badge once defeated ## Appearance Due to being twins, Tate and Liza are almost identical appearance-wise. They both appear to be little kids with dark blue hair, fair skin, and gray eyes. Their clothes are also identical (save for two colored stars on their chests), and they both sport a pair of white ribbons in their hair. However, to tell the difference between the two of them, Liza has two pigtails, while Tate does not. Tate and Liza wear an outfit that consists of a puffy-sleeved white and blue shirt with two stars on it and black cuffs, matching blue pants with a planet-like symbol on the thighs, and blue flats. The only difference is the two stars on their chests- Tate has green stars, while Liza has magenta ones. ## Personality Unique, cooperative and a perfect duo, Tate and Liza are a synchronized pair of twins who tend to finish each other's sentences at times. This mental connection between siblings is their most defining trait. However, although they have a mental connection, Tate is more serious than his older twin sister. For this reason, Tate seems to be the more rational and mature of the two (especially when it comes to Pokémon battles). When they are mentally in tune with each other, the twins cover each other's flaws and become a force to be reckoned with. Liza seems more independent and self-assured, while Tate is more jovial and focused on proving himself. Liza loves to tease Tate by reminding him of things, and especially refers to him as her "little" brother despite the fact that they are twins, which turns out to be her main way of agitating Tate. Despite his teasing, Liza cares about Tate and defends him from people who pick on him. They often spend time at the Space Center, and even have fights in simulated zero-gravity conditions, which they accomplish by using their Baltoy Confusion technique to levitate them. Liza is the older of the twins (by a few minutes). Liza seems to be more experienced in battle, always defeating Tate when the two face off. During a gym challenge, in double fights, Liza usually defends her brother's Solrock. She is also the first to make a move and sometimes directs Tate's attack strategy to make sure they are in sync. #### Pokémon Tate has a Solrock Liza has a Lunatone
