Larry

Larry, also known my his moniker "The Exceptional Everyman" is a Pokémon League staffer who is being assigned as both Gym Leader of Medali's Gym, known officially as the Medali Gym, and a member of Paldea's Elite Four. He specializes in both Normal- and Flying-type Pokémon, using the former as a Gym Leader and the latter as an Elite Four member.He also works as a businessman on top of his Pokémon League duties. He is often unmotivated, and becomes unsettlingly still whenever he is lost in thought, much to the worry of people nearby. Larry is a tall man in business attire, wearing a black suit with a gray dress shirt underneath and a blue cloud-print tie. There are 2 dark notches on each side of the suit lapels. He has very thick eyebrows and square eyes. In his role as an Elite Four member, he also wears black gloves with what appears to be a gray compass-like pattern engraved on them. He also carries a suitcase with him. His preference for Normal types is reflected in his very generic and square appearance, indicating that he is very formal in what he does, just as Normal types have nothing remarkable about them. Incidentally, his bird-like hairstyle and cloud-print tie and unusually piercing gaze also reflect/hint at his Flying-type coverage and how he does use them as a secondary preferred type. That and his suitcase implies that he travels a lot, something associated with flying airplanes usually. His hair and expression vaguely resembles a combination of Pidgeot's hair and Staraptor's face, further foreshadowing his flying type affinity. His hair is Black and slicked back in short pomp syle with 5 strips of gray highlights with 1 gray strand that hangs over his forehead. Larry constantly works overtime as a salaryman and is often left completely drained of energy as a result. He also appears to suffer from a lack of self-esteem, stating that his Pokémon don't stand out too much and that he compares himself similarly to them. Despite his preference for such Pokémon, he was forced to pick another type to suit him as an Elite Four member per Geeta's request. Although mostly having a morose outlook on life, Larry does have a huge appetite, always frequenting the Treasury Eatery of Medali inside his Gym. His normal Pokémon team consists of; Komala, Dudunsparce, Oinkologne, Braviary, and Staraptor. Staraptor is his ace Pokémon and will Terastallize his Staraptor into a normal at the first opportunity. His Pokémon League team consists of; Tropius, Oricorio Pom-Pom Style, Altaria, Flamigo, and his beloved Staraptor. Wears gloves when fighting as one of the Elite Four due to it being part of the official costume. Befitting his "exhausted salaryman" appearance, he has very noticeable dark spots under his eyes. Despite his world-weary appearance and attitude, he's a decent dude, even treating the trainers to a meal after their victory and wishing them well. His exhaustion with work has left him with a perpetual dour frown on his face. Although, he does smile from time to time. Workaholic. An otherwise average salaryman having a passion for food.
