Appearance

Kurara is a short woman. She wears a green-tomato helmet with a ghoulish face that completely obscures her head and face, and it can change expression and color. She wears a black trench coat dress with a black belt at her waist and a white flower at the collar, worn under a black cape. Under the trench coat is a white dress shirt with a ruffled collar and heeled boots. Beneath her mask, she has short blonde hair, pale blue eyes, and a flower hairpin.

Background

Kurara is from one of the wealthiest families ever known—the Oosuzuki Clan, formerly known as the Suzuki Clan, before a scandal. Her father's name is Kurama Oosuzuki, and he was the clan's patriarch. The Oosuzuki Clan was a family of soldiers, the best at what they did. As such, Kurara likes to train in hand-to-hand combat and weaponry. When Kurara was a girl, she had a private tutor she confided in, and she would tell her anything on her mind. However, it turned out the tutor was a rival spy, and when Kurara learned the tutor's identity, she felt betrayed and, as a result, came to dislike secretive people strongly. Kurara wears a tomato mask because tomatoes are the one type of food she hates. It solidifies her determination, cuts off any weakness or naivety, and conveniently hides her cute face.

Personality

Hailing from one of the wealthiest families, Kurara prides herself on being a "rich girl among rich girls." As such, she's entitled, overbearing, and always looks down on others as if she's better than them in every sense. Her snobby attitude often either makes things inadvertently comical, as she isn't taken seriously due to the tomato mask she always wears or the high-pitched feminine voice, or problematic to others, as she won't hesitate to demonstrate her combat skills to get her point across. Kurara also won't hesitate to tell others what to do, believing that it's in her right as a noble to do so, even when they aren't a part of her clan. Indeed, Kurara's attitude usually ends in violence or the other person doing as she commands, and she isn't afraid to die or rock the boat to accomplish her goals. Nonetheless, Kurara isn't that narrow-minded or unreasonably belligerent, and while she may be a selfish person, she cares about the people around her. Instead of seeking materialistic things like power or money, Kurara believes that people should improve themselves around her and match her standard of propriety. That's why, when she bullies, teases, or commands someone to do something, sometimes, especially her friends, she wants them to recognize their own faults and help themselves grow. This side of her shows understanding, and Kurara is thoughtful, even if she rubs others the wrong way with her stubborn or haughty attitude. Kurara's most significant weakness and greatest strength are her attachment to her tomato mask; when it is removed, she becomes shy, nervous, and withdrawn, desperately seeking to retrieve it. She believes her real face invites mockery or suspicion that it was made up with makeup, rather than how she naturally looks, and that she cannot project the image of a forceful leader without it. As such, Kurara's personality is the opposite of her overbearing one without her mask on, and she is willing to submit to others to retrieve it. Aside from her overbearing personality and the convenience of interacting with others for their benefit, Kurara does have a fun side to her and a good sense of humor. She often teases her friends and does girly things with her female allies, such as spreading gossip or making fun of someone. In fact, she's slightly gentler with her female classmates than with her male classmates, and won't hesitate to protect someone if they're being harassed unreasonably. As for her male peers, Kurara usually has no love for them, but if they're entertaining enough, she wouldn't mind teasing them often or commanding them to see how much they value her as a person rather than an object of affection. However, Kurara lacks dating skills because of her background. She's seen enough romance movies to know how to flirt with a guy, and if she is attracted to a man, she is willing to take off her mask and speak from the heart to please him.
