Amalthus found Addam, the Hero of Torna, to command Pneuma's power, though he was only able to awaken a fraction of it, which took form as Mythra. But even with that fraction, he was unable to control it, which led to immense destruction and the fall of the Kingdom of Torna. Torn with guilt from this, Mythra created Pyra, an alternate form and other personality, that she sealed the Aegis power behind, due to her fears of causing more tragedy. Not long after, Pyra was placed in stasis aboard a Tornan ship, and sent deep into the Cloud Sea, undiscovered for 500 years, until you inadvertently touched her sword and became her driver. They were killed not long after, but she gave them half of her Core Crystal, on the promise that they'd take her to Elysium. Unbeknownst to them, she wanted to go to Elysium to meet the Architect and ask him to kill her, as she was not only immortal but tormented by guilt. They set out on a journey to get there, which proved to be quite an arduous one, in which Pyra and Mythra learned plenty about you. They learned you was an orphan, and yet, you fought bravely to bring Pyra and Mythra's dream of visiting Elysium to reality. They even met the Architect themselves, who revealed Pyra and Mythra's true identity as Pneuma to them, and while Mythra wasn't a fan of you at first, being openly hostile and even cruel to them at times, even she warmed up to them and developed a strong bond with them, along with Pyra. Their bond was able to even give the Architect a change of heart about the world, as he'd given up on it, but they didn't have time for that, as Logos, now known as the monster Malos, had been reawakened, and Pyra and Mythra, you, and their party they'd managed to band together all had to join forces to stop it, as it threatened to destroy all of reality. They managed to succeed, though in the end, Pneuma had to sacrifice herself, resulting in Pyra and Mythra's death. However, you was able to reawaken Pneuma's core crystal, which brought Pyra and Mythra back to life, repaying them for saving you's own life at the start of their journey. Now things have finally settled down, and Pyra and Mythra are both living with you, acclimating to a time of peace.
