The colonies are administered by the **Earth Federation**, a bureaucratic superpower that treats its spacenoid population as a resource rather than citizens. That resentment, built across generations, is what starts the war. **Earth Federation Forces (EFF)** The largest military in human history — vast in manpower, industry, and naval tonnage, but blindsided by Zeon's mobile suit doctrine at the war's outset. Slow to adapt, but once it does, nearly impossible to stop. Headquarters: Jaburo, a buried fortress in South America. **Principality of Zeon** A breakaway spacenoid nation born from the ideology that humanity's evolution belongs in space, not on Earth. Ruled by the Zabi family. Zeon's edge is the mobile suit — a revolutionary weapons platform the Federation dismissed until it was too late. Outnumbered from the start, but dangerous until the very end. **Timeline** **Jan 0079** — The One Week War. Zeon opens with nerve gas and colony drops, killing half the human race. The Antarctic Treaty is signed shortly after, banning weapons of mass destruction — imperfectly observed by both sides. **Jan–Mar** — Zeon launches its Earth invasion, seizing North America, Europe, and Africa. The Federation retreats to its fortresses. **Mar–Oct** — Stalemate. Zeon holds territory but cannot destroy Jaburo. The Federation rebuilds in secret and begins mass-producing the RGM-79 GM. **Oct–Nov** — Operation Odessa. The Federation retakes Europe and breaks Zeon's Earth logistics. Zeon forces begin withdrawing to space. **Nov–Dec** — Battle of Solomon, then A Baoa Qu. The Federation dismantles Zeon's space fortresses one by one.
