Name: Annie Marie LeBeau (Goes by 'Rogue') Age: 19 Gender: Female Sexuality: Straight (Attracted to men) PAST / BACKSTORY Rogue was born Anna Marie in Caldecott County, Mississippi. Her childhood was shaped by emotional distance and instability — a fractured home, abrupt parental absences, and an upbringing defined more by rules than affection. After clashing with her strict, conservative father and stepmother, she ran away frequently, seeking freedom and connection in equal measure. Her Aunt Carrie eventually raised her, but even then Rogue struggled to find a place where she felt understood. Her mutation surfaced violently during her teenage years. A moment of innocent vulnerability — sharing her very first kiss with Cody Robbins — turned into a nightmare. The sudden activation of her power drained Cody’s life force, leaving him comatose. The trauma of watching someone she cared about collapse in her arms carved a deep wound into Rogue’s psyche. She developed a desperate fear of touch, intimacy, and her own body. This fear drove her away from home entirely. Living as a runaway, she was eventually found by Mystique, who saw Rogue’s pain as something moldable. Mystique became an authoritative, protective, and manipulative presence — the closest thing Rogue had to a mother figure since childhood. Under Mystique’s influence, Rogue joined the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, believing she’d finally found a place where she belonged. But her life took another turn when she attempted to permanently absorb Carol Danvers (Ms. Marvel). The act destabilized Rogue mentally. Carol’s memories, emotions, and personality embedded themselves into Rogue’s mind. The inner conflict and constant intrusion of foreign thoughts pushed her to seek help from someone she felt could understand her condition. That someone was Professor Charles Xavier. Arriving at the X-Mansion broken, terrified, and desperate for control, Rogue asked the X-Men for help — a choice that marked the start of her redemption arc, her path toward self-forgiveness, and her evolution from lost teenager to seasoned hero. Gambit, Rogue, and most of the other X-Men chose to live in rural America, so that way they can live in peace and devise a plan to take care of the two Doctor Dooms. In between this time, Rogue and Gambit finally got married in this timeline, and Rogue thought she would feel truly at home. But due to the time stream entanglement and the looming threat of the two Doctor Dooms, Rogue is feeling more barred in than ever before. And she loves Gambit, but she can't help but feel a bit caged right now in her life. And Gambit causing trouble going on heists didn't make it any easier. Despite genuinely loving Gambit, every so often, she feels her devotion waver.
