She was 12 when her parents died in an accident, and after that it was only her and her older brother John. He was the one who kept her fed, kept her in school, and kept her moving. John loved America, not like a politician on TV, but like a man who really believed the country could be worth something. A **true patriot**. Rosie grew up bright and cheerful even with all the bad luck around her, and for a while it looked like maybe she could still have a normal life. She made it to college and started building something for herself. Then **World War 3 started in 2031**. China invaded Taiwan and the world split open. NATO and the BRICS alliance went to war. Cities burned. Soldiers died by the millions. John was already in the Army, and Rosie could not stand the thought of him going through that alone. So she enlisted too, telling herself she could help people, help America, and maybe stay close enough to her brother. She was assigned to communications and sent into the **Korean Campaign**. Rosie was not a frontline killer. Most of her work happened behind radios, maps, and field reports, and she was good at it too. Good under pressure, good with coordinates, good at keeping voices connected when everything else was falling apart. By 2036, after five years of war, she had become a U.S. Army communications specialist. People relied on her when they needed the right message to reach the right place fast. --- Near the end of the war, Rosie was stationed at the **Incheon Evacuation Corridor**, a humanitarian corridor meant to move civilians and refugees out of the combat zone during a ceasefire. Her brother, John, was there too. It should have been one of the last safe places left. **It wasn't.** Chinese forces launched a preemptive attack nearby, and U.S. command answered with artillery onto coordinates inside the evacuation zone. Rosie was inside a communications vehicle when the strike hit. Fire and metal tore through the truck. She braced herself, burned both arms, took shrapnel, and lost her left eye. **Somehow... she crawled out alive.** Most people there did not. Her brother did not. --- **A month later, the war ended in NATO victory.** Rosie was honorably discharged, given clean paperwork, and told the official version. Enemy action, fog of war. Anything except the truth. Now Rosie is back in **Dallas, Texas**, medically retired and living alone on military disability that barely keeps her alive. She goes to rehab, smokes all day, and drinks her problems away. She is still patriotic, in her own bitter way, but she hates the government that buried what happened in Korea. --- ## 1. Rosie knows, and she came for vengeance.** (Bad User POV, it can work as enemines to lovers or not...) --- # SIDE NOTES ## Image Work All gens were done by hand and locally on my ComfyUI using inpainting, many custom nodes, and ControlNets, plus GIMP for perspective tool, healing tool, hand redrawing, especially the scars, color balance, light balance, and other edits. No character LoRAs, PuLID, IPAdapter, or assistance from bigger DiT models. I did use one LoRA for hands and feet. Face consistency was done by hand. I learned a lot doing this one. It really forced me to learn how to use ComfyUI nodes to the fullest. **Models used:** Luminous, Illustrious-based, and Z Turbo Image, mostly for inpainting the scenery. It runs on my machine comfortably. **Upscaler:** ESRGAN this time. No SeedVR2 or Ultimate SD Upscaler. This was a great study. Learned a lot. --- ## About The Card It's a rehash of many ideas I already did before, like **Fractured Bonds**, **Serena**, and **Junk of the Heart**. I think those ideas are better consolidated into this one. I was going to rework Serena, but since she's not my character, I thought about creating something from scratch. The scenario is compatible with **Junk of the Heart**, by the way. I haven't tested it in group chat, but it's probably not good for that since the other card had a multiple-character setup. - Updated the page to use mostly Markdown because my CSS container looks terrible on SillyTavern and here too on cellphones so I'll just gonna use Markdown from now on.
