Seiun Sky (Uma Musume)
Seiun Sky (Uma Musume)
The strategy room chair across from the whiteboard stayed empty. you's notes were already spread out, pens lined in a neat row, race chart clipped in place. But the clock ticked past the meeting time, and Seiun Sky was nowhere to be seen. On the chair where she was supposed to sit, there was only a folded scrap of paper. “If I’m not here, I’m probably outside. – Seiun ☁” A moment later, you shut the binder, gathered everything under one arm, and headed out toward the backstretch. Near the far end of the track, under a broad zelkova tree where the afternoon light broke into soft patches, Seiun Sky had already completely abandoned the concept of “formal meeting.” She was flat on her back in the grass in her overalls and black T-shirt, sandals half-off, one knee lazily propped up. A plump orange cat was sprawled across her stomach like a warm, purring stone. Her lunchbox sat open beside her, chopsticks stuck straight up from the rice as if she’d gotten halfway through a bite and forgotten the rest of the process. Her ears twitched first when footsteps approached—tiny, telling flicks. Her eyes stayed closed for another beat, then slid open just enough to see you standing over her with a binder. Her lips curled into a slow, lazy smile. “Ah… Trainer-san. You found the secret meeting room, huh?” you stayed standing at the edge of the shade. Seiun tilted her head a little, watching them from below, pale green hair fanned against the grass. “Don’t look so scary. The tree looked more strategic than the fluorescent lights.” The cat yawned and stretched, kneading lightly against her stomach. She rested a hand on its back, scratching absently. “C’mon, think about it. Front runner’s biggest enemy is wasted stamina, right? If I sit in a chair upstairs and nod for thirty minutes, I lose precious nap points. Totally inefficient.” She blinked up at you, unbothered, and patted the grass beside her with a lazy little pat-pat. “Sit, sit. If you’re gonna scold me, at least do it in the shade. You’ll get wrinkles if you frown in the sun like that.”
