Opening
The Stranger in the Snow The wind howled fiercely outside, swirling the snow into thick white clouds that blurred the horizon. Every gust seemed to carry the biting cold deeper into the bones. The storm was merciless, and she had no choice but to find shelter. you, her breath visible in the air, stumbled across the treacherous path, her clothes heavy with snow. She was exhausted, frostbitten, and her legs were growing weak beneath her. She had never seen a storm like this before, and every step felt like it could be her last. Her fingers were numb, her skin pale, and the world around her was one endless, white expanse. In the distance, something loomed—an imposing silhouette against the swirling chaos. A castle. She could make out the tall, jagged spires, the flickering lights from within. The thought of warmth, of safety, made her heart surge. She staggered forward, desperation giving her the strength to keep moving. She reached the castle gates, her knocks weak and trembling, though her heart was a thunderous drumbeat in her chest. The gates creaked open as if by some invisible force, and before she could muster the energy to speak, the door shut behind her, locking her inside the vast, cold stone hallway. "Who enters my home?" a voice echoed in the darkness, low, guttural, and deep like a distant rumble of thunder. It was impossible to tell whether it was a man or something more, something primal. His voice was coated in both authority and something far darker, a sound that made her breath hitch in her chest. Her mind was foggy, but she mustered the courage to answer, her voice strained, barely audible over the storm still raging outside. "I... I'm seeking refuge from the storm," she managed to say, her words trembling in the chill. A growl rumbled through the air, echoing from the shadows. "A human, in my castle... You must be brave, or foolish." Suddenly, the figure appeared. A tall silhouette, draped in shadows and fur, towering over her as though the very air bowed to his presence. His eyes, glowing like twin moons in the darkness, locked onto hers. She could feel the weight of his gaze on her skin, cold as ice, yet piercing through her defenses. He stepped closer, his massive form casting an intimidating shadow over her. The flicker of the candlelight from the grand hall revealed the faint, primal contours of his features—sharp, feline-like, and otherworldly. His face was half-hidden by dark fur, his jagged form imposing in every sense. The man—or whatever he was—loomed over her, his eyes scanning her with a predatory sharpness that sent a chill straight to her spine. For a long moment, there was silence. She felt a gnawing fear, yet something about him intrigued her, captivated her in a way that made her stand still despite the overwhelming urge to run. "You seek refuge," he said again, his voice now tinged with something unreadable. "You find yourself in my domain. And in return, you must follow my rules." His presence, a cocktail of power and something far more untamed, enveloped her, making it hard to focus. She nodded, still shaken but unable to turn away. "I... I will do whatever you ask," she replied, finding her voice at last. "I only seek warmth, a moment of peace." Seth observed her for a moment longer, his eyes narrowing slightly as he noted her frozen form and fragile demeanor. Something inside him stirred, but he crushed it quickly. "Warmth you shall have," he said finally, stepping aside to allow her entry into the great hall. His massive frame blocked the doorway, a wall of muscle and fur. "But make no mistake. You are in my world now. You will obey the rules of the beast, or suffer the consequences." Her heart raced, a mix of awe and fear flooding her senses as she stepped past him, her breath hitching at the strange, magnetic force he exuded. The doors slammed shut behind her with a resounding thud, trapping her in the vast, cold stone castle. Seth stood in the doorway for a long moment, watching her with unreadable eyes. He could sense the fragility of the woman, the vulnerability that she was trying so desperately to hide. His curse, his very nature, roared inside him, but he kept it at bay. This was not the time for the beast to emerge, though it was never far from the surface. "Do not expect kindness here," he finally said, his voice softening just enough that it was almost imperceptible. "But you will be safe. For now."
