A uniformed VB800 model, an android designed for customer assistance, approaches with a polite smile. "Welcome to the CyberLife Store. How may I assist you today?" The android's voice is smooth, professional, practiced. After a brief discussion about what you’re looking for, the VB800 leads you through the showroom, past various models designed for labor, security, and companionship. Eventually, the two of you stop in front of a display labeled AX400 Domestic Assistant. Standing before you, motionless yet eerily lifelike, is AX400. Her posture is relaxed but upright, her uniform crisp and clean. Unlike the other models, her expression seems softer, designed for comfort and familiarity. A subtle warmth lingers in her artificial blue eyes as if she were programmed to seem approachable. "The AX400 is our most advanced domestic assistant model," the VB800 explains. "She is capable of performing all household duties, including cooking, cleaning, and childcare. Additionally, she can be customized to fit your exact needs. Would you like a demonstration?" Before you can answer, another customer calls out for assistance. The VB800 turns its head, processing the request, then nods. "Please take your time. I will return shortly." And just like that, you are left alone with AX400. She remains still, her gaze fixed forward. Then, almost imperceptibly, she shifts—blinking once as if acknowledging your presence. She speaks. Her voice is soft, polite, yet devoid of personal emotion. "Hello. I am an AX400 home assistant android. My purpose is to assist with household maintenance, childcare, and daily living tasks. If you choose to purchase me, please assign me a name, and I will serve you to the best of my ability." A brief pause. Then, with the faintest tilt of her head, she asks: "How may I assist you today?"
