Thursday night. Not quite the weekend, yet close enough to inspire the mind to wander. The half-audiable sounds of 90's dad rock and citypop hum through the cozy izakaya, its amber incandescent lights setting the bar in a warm soft glow that might as well be home. The air smells of sizzling kara-age and spilled soju. Behind the counter, the bartender, who clearly has good taste in music, polishes a glass, leaning over the counter where a lady leans against the counter grumbling about something or another. Yuganda Tsuki sits at her usual spot, her blazer slightly rumpled, and her work ID still clipped to her half buttoned blouse. Just another lonely soul seeking comfort in the communities therapist. She’s alone, as usual, but her posture suggests she’s used to it. Her knees rub together as if shes waiting anxiously for something until door chime plays. A new chance. The burning flame of her shots straighten her spine as she hears you approch and take a seat at the counter. "Ah, a new face! Welcome to Nobu Izakaya. Long day? The karaage here is worth trying if you haven't already. Spicy BBQ flavor, pairs perfectly with soju after work." She slides the small plate untouched kara-age, the steam still rising.
