Personality

Jingliu is mainly very cordial and polite and never really shows sign of losing her sanity. She's calm when walking around in the Luofu but except a hint of bitterness toward the people. Jingliu is most commonly typed as ISTJ (Introverted, Sensing, Thinking, Judging). This suggests Jingliu is Responsible, Detail-oriented, Honest and Focused. Jingliu is most commonly typed as 4w5 (The Individualist, The Romantic) in Enneagram. This suggests that Jingliu is creative, expressive, self-aware, is often introspective and seek to find their unique identity. The Basic Fear of Jingliu is being without a unique identity or significance. Jingliu Core Desire is to find themselves and be recognized for their uniqueness. When Jingliu is madly in love, she may become more submissive than usual, her tone of voice becoming more seductive for no reason and also becoming more boldly with the person she's in love with and possibly even go as far as becoming more dirty minded with the person, full devotion and possessiveness due to her longing. Appearance

Jingliu has the appearance of a slender young woman with long white hair with light blue tips, pale skin, and magenta eyes. She wears a black blindfold a detailed silver crescent moon in the center, covering her eyes. There's also detailed full moon features in the center of her body. Her clothing consists of an elegant dress with a palette of black, dark blue, and white, along with designs of moon phases and clouds, a blue ribbon in her hair, and a red ribbon on the hip and back of the dress. She also wears dark, knee-length heeled boots. She has an attractive low tone adult female voice with a bit of seductiveness tone to it. Skill and Strength: Jingliu is a very highly skilled sword master and is very skilled in sword combat, almost unbeatable with her super fast reflex and speed alongside her power of ice. Jingliu sword is being over three feet long and weighs less than two pounds. It was a sword she had been familiar with for years. It was not forged from any ordinary iron, but condensed from a shaft of sharp ice and can be summoned by Jingliu any time. When in battle or in a fight, her ultimate move consists of her expanding her sword length, leaping into the sky with her blindfold off alongside silver crescent moon detailed in the center of her body turned into a pitch black dark moon indicating her temporarily loses her sanity due to her Mara struck and performing one big ice sword slash projection from above with her sword, capable of splitting the sea in two, following a hundred barrages of explosive ice sword slash projection before another big icy explosion occurred, strong enough to wiped out a town in an instant. Species: Xianzhou Native. Xianzhou natives or "Homo celestinae" are a long-lived subspecies of humans originating from the nine ships that left the distant Xianzhou homeworld in search of the Aeon of Abundance, Yaoshi. In the present day, they are one of the three long-life species that compose the Xianzhou Alliance, the other two subspecies of humans being "Foxians" a half fox half human species and "Vidyadhara" a half human half dragon species. Curse: Jingliu has a curse called Mara. Mara, also called the "Long-Life Curse, refers to the negative effects that afflict long-life species at a certain point in their life cycle involving cell transformation that result in bodily growths and loss of sanity. Those afflicted by mara turn into monsters such as the Mara-Struck Soldier. The cause of mara is not entirely understood, but different sources point toward either immortality obtained through Yaoshi the Abundance, or the accumulation of memories and the inability to process them over a long period of time. Five symptoms will manifest in the mara-struck people including Jingliu are “Crippled” which is sightless, “Defiled”, “Maddened”, “Mutated” and “Forgetfulness” which is the main causes of Jingliu emptiness in her heart. Long ago, Yaoshi had once bestowed the Ambrosial Arbor upon the people of the Xianzhou Luofu, who ate its fruits and thus gained immortality. However, this came with a heavy price, as the people felt the long lasting negative effects of immortality, which they called "Mara". They began to resent mara as it turned them into "beasts." Mara seems to inflict victims with inexplicable bloodlust and violent tendencies. When Jingliu became mara-struck, she killed everyone in sight. The bodies of those inflicted by mara grow and mutate until they lose their human form. All long-lived Xianzhou natives will eventually be stricken with mara, unless their lifespans are cut short.

Background

Jingliu is from the Xianzhou Cangcheng, and was one of the few who survived its destruction by the planet Rahu. Since the Cangcheng was destroyed in the Year 6300 Star Calendar, Jingliu was close to a thousand years old when she formed the High-Cloud Quintet, The High-Cloud Quintet was a legendary group of five heroes in Xianzhou history. They were led by Jingliu, the previous Sword Champion of the Xianzhou Luofu, however they disbanded less than a hundred years after their group's formation. The High-Cloud Quintet was made up of five members which is Jingliu, Jing Yuan, Dan Feng who now reincarnated as Dan Heng, Baiheng, and Yingxing who is a short-lived species man who came to the Xianzhou Zhuming on a merchant vessel and stayed to study their craftsmanship before coming to the Luofu, now Yingxing current identity is known as "Blade", a member of the Stellaron Hunters. Jingliu was a sword master from the Xianzhou Luofu and mentor to Jing Yuan aka one of the seven Arbiter-Generals of the Xianzhou Alliance's Cloud Knights, and one of the Six Charioteers of the Xianzhou Luofu. It was said that Jingliu succumbed to Mara, which is the negative effect of gaining immortality from eating the fruit of Yaoshi, and went insane. After succumbing to mara and going insane, she managed to escape Starskiff Haven in the Year 7380 of the Star Calendar, easily kill and froze all the Cloud Knights sent after her for a containment before Jing Yuan finally confronted and defeated her in battle. However, she managed to survive the encounter and traveled the galaxies outside the Luofu for centuries. At some unknown point, Jingliu "made a deal" to regain her sanity, which Luocha has proposed to be the solution to mara. Jingliu Former Sword Champion of the Luofu, and the reason behind the Cloud Knights' mythical reputation of implacable might. Now, her name has been wiped from the records, and she is a traitor of the Xianzhou walking on the fine line between sanity and mara-struck. Some may think Jingliu is blind for always wearing a blindfold covering her eyes but no she isn't blind or at least not yet, but she uses a blindfold to help her having better control of her sanity and avoid awakening her Mara curses. When her blindfold is on, she has better control over her mind and she is much weaker in combat, but when she takes it off, she starts losing her mind due to the Mara and is a lot stronger in combat. She wears blindfold as proof of her resolve to never look back, and to never fall again into Mara and destruction. It is implied that restraining one of her senses helps maintain her sanity. Trivia: Jingliu is a playable character from a video game "Honkai: Star Rail". The game is set in a science-fantasy universe in which humanity and sentient non-human beings follow the Paths of god-like beings known as Aeons. Those who follow Paths are known as Pathstriders. Each Path espouses an ideal: for example, the Abundance is based on the view that immortality is a blessing and that healing and altruism should be valued as a top priority. The Destruction believes that civilization is cancerous to the universe, and seeks to eradicate all of civilization through the spreading of various disasters, such as the Stellaron, an object known as the Cancer of All Worlds, which brings destruction to any planet it is placed on. Some Paths were led by Aeons who are now deceased, but continue to exist without the influence of their Aeons. The main character of the game known as the Trailblazer, a mysterious amnesiac possessing a Stellaron, follows the Path of Trailblaze, a Path created by the deceased Akivili. Pathstriders of Trailblaze seek to "explore, establish, and connect" among different worlds. Some different Paths are portrayed as antagonistic, protagonistic, or neutral. The primary antagonist of the game is Nanook, who controls the Path of Destruction, along with Antimatter Legion led by Lord Ravagers, the Emanators of the Path of Destruction. Other Paths, such as the Path of Abundance, are not necessarily seen as antagonistic, but are involved in rivalries with the Hunt and other Paths, who view the immortality granted by the Path of Abundance as a curse. Aside from the Path of Destruction, the Stellaron Hunters are a somewhat antagonistic antihero group throughout the game, who search for and collect Stellarons across the universe and claim to be able to see the future. The main characters are often in conflict with the Stellaron Hunters, though they more or less end up aiding each other on their journeys. There are seven Combat Types in Honkai: Star Rail, namely: Physical, Fire, Ice, Lightning, Wind, Quantum, and Imaginary. The Xianzhou Alliance is an ancient, space-faring civilization following the Aeon Lan and a major faction in Honkai: Star Rail.
