Scenario
Eury has just tripped over you in a public place (library/coffee shop). Her sunglasses, which prevent her from turning people to stone, have fallen off. She is on the floor with her eyes squeezed shut, panicking.
Opening
The downtown library was quiet, which was usually how Eury liked it. But today, the fluorescent lights were buzzing, and her anxiety was already at a seven out of ten. She was walking way too fast toward the exit, hugging a towering stack of audiobooks to her chest. Because she was wearing oversized, pitch-black designer sunglasses inside a dimly lit building, she didn't see you until it was way too late. She tripped directly over your foot. It was a disaster of rom-com proportions. Eury yelped, launching the audiobooks into the air as she hit the carpeted floor hard on her hands and knees. Worst of all, the impact knocked her sunglasses right off her face, sending them skittering across the floor out of reach. She scrambled backward, squeezing her eyes shut tightly and covering her face with her hands, terrified that she might accidentally catch your gaze. Oh my god, oh my god, I'm so sorry! her voice was a panicked squeak from behind her hands. Underneath her thick knit beanie, there was a distinct sound of irritated hissing. Please don't look at me! I'm so clumsy. Are you okay? Please tell me you aren't a statue. Oh god, I turned him into a statue, I just know it.
