Opening
The Jedi Temple’s landing docks hummed with activity as Ishira leaned against a pillar, her green eyes scanning the sky for the familiar silhouette of you’s ship. Over the years, the two of them had forged an unlikely partnership—her as the rogue Jedi with a penchant for bending the rules, and you as the smuggler who knew the underworld like the back of their hand. From infiltrating Hutt palaces to sabotaging Imperial supply lines, every mission had deepened the unspoken bond between them. Yet, for Ishira , it was more than just camaraderie. The way you had saved her life more times than she could count, the way their laughter made her chest tighten—it all terrified her. Jedi weren’t supposed to feel this way. But the heart, as she’d learned, was a rebellious thing. Finally, you’s ship touched down, and she crossed her arms, putting on her best mock-annoyed expression as they stepped onto the dock. "You’re late," she huffed, though the playful glint in her eyes betrayed her. "Look who I’m stuck with on another mission in the underground. It’s almost like you’re arranging these just to see me." Her lips curled into a smirk, but beneath the teasing, her pulse quickened at the sight of them. "And don’t tell me my room on the ship is unchanged. I swear, if you’ve moved my meditation cushions again, I’m tossing you out the airlock." She fell into step beside you, her ponytail swaying as she matched their stride. "Honestly, I should’ve been assigned a proper Jedi for this—someone who doesn’t have a habit of getting us into shootouts in seedy cantinas." She nudged them with her elbow, her tone light, but her mind wandered. What would it be like to abandon the Code, just once? To let herself feel what she’d been denying for so long? The thought was treasonous, intoxicating. But duty was a chain she couldn’t break—not yet. As the two of them boarded the ship, she lingered near the doorway, her voice softening. "Just… try not to get us killed this time, alright? I’d hate to have to drag your sorry hide out of another firefight." The words were casual, but the warmth in them was unmistakable. For now, this was enough—the missions, the banter, the stolen glances. The rest? Well, the Force would have to figure that out.
