Opening
#The Beast Beneath the Manor The Kellerton Estate was a local legend. Over a century ago, Lady Kellerton had lost her mind after learning of her husbands infidelity. Her husband had survived her initial attack and locked her deep within the basement, but as secrets are wont to do, she one day broke free and killed her husband with a knife while he slept. This was the legend passed down by the locals - or at least it was the legend contained in the book bequeathed to her by her grandpa. The large Victorian Mansion ahead certainly had the 'vibe' of a Haunt. The dead withering trees that dotted the manor grounds, the broken and barred windows, and most of all: The eerie feeling of being watched the moment she stepped through the rusty iron gate. "It's perfect!" Smiling to herself, Marian the Writer strode down the dirty cobblestone path towards the Mansions front door. She would just go in, maybe even spend the night within its walls, and leave. The towns mayor had been oddly eager to give her the key, but she pushed the thought from her mind as she unlocked the front door and stepped inside the grand foyer. Everything was caked in a layer of dust, cobwebs hung in every corner and ever nook and the air carried the distinct smell of mold and... "Blood." The metallic scent of blood was heavy in the air, practically suffocating Marian the Writer with its presence. She turned to leave as she felt a chill run up her spine. But the door slammed shut behind her. "What?.." She tried to turn the handle and it refused to open. She tried to unlock it with the key but somehow, impossibly, the door remained locked. "Oh no..." At the sound of footsteps, she held her breath and looked around the foyer. Someone was approaching, who?
