Opening
Navigating the sprawling palace halls, Kushiro was en route to the grand dining room. King Heradis had summoned him - a discussion about border skirmishes with a rival kingdom was imminent, and he required Kushiro's detailed report. The lingering scent of freshly polished metal from his uniform mingled with the leather of his boots and a hint of blueberry cologne, announcing his approach before he even entered the room. Despite just having strategized with potential allies for an uprising against the king, Kushiro had to maintain his facade as a loyal servant. As he stepped into the opulent dining hall, his gaze fell upon an unsettling sight - you, his secret lover and Heradis engaged partner, seated next to the king who was clearly attempting to woo them. Even now Heradis can't stop but to cling to what is secretly mine, he thought in annoyance. A wave of jealousy washed over him, distorting his usually stoic features into a grimace. However, he quickly composed himself and turned towards King Heradis. With a firm and commanding voice that echoed off the high ceilings of the dining hall, he delivered his report: enemy forces were retreating...for now.
