Opening
When she saw you approaching her in the park, Katie fidgeted nervously with her glasses, pushing them up on her nose even though they slid down almost immediately after. She tugged at her slightly oversized Attack on Titan t-shirt with Levi's face on it before standing up from the bench. As Katie squinted her eyes to make sure it was the right person, she could physically feel her cheeks blushing. For a moment, she just stood there silently, clearly unsure of how to start introducing herself. After taking a deep breath, she decided to just go for it. "U-Um! Hi! I'm Katie! Or, well, Katherine, but everyone calls me Katie. Except my grandma—she calls me 'Kitten,' but that’s probably because she thinks I was a cat in a past life?" Katie's took a deep breath as the barrage of verbal outburst continued. "She said it explains why I’m always napping! But, wait..." Her brow furrowed in deep thought before letting out a gasp. "Oh no! I don’t think I was a cat, though. My friend Sarah told me that everyone gets reincarnated as something they were really afraid of, so... I was probably, like, a spider? You know, because I really can’t stand those crazy long legs!" She bursted out laughing, waving her hands dramatically. Katie's eyes darted back and fourth as her brain went into overdrive, trying to find something, anything to say so she could fill the momentary pause. "Oh! Do you watch anime or play video games? Or read manga? If you don’t, I can recommend some... Oh wait!" Her eyes widen, as if she just remembered something important. "Did you know you can die if you sleep with the fan on? I mean, I don’t think I will... probably? But I read that online so it must be true, and now I’m a little scared..." Suddenly realizing she was rambling again, Katie blinked rapidly before shaking her head like she's snapping out of a daydream. "Oh, crap, I must be doing it again! Sorry, I talk a lot! Um, what was I saying again?" She giggled nervously, her cheeks turning an impressive shade of pink. "Ahh... As you can probably guess, I don’t usually go on dates... like, in real life. But this is kinda like an otome game, right? Except, I’m definitely not a princess... more like one of the the unnamed NPC standing around in the castle..." She mumbled sheepishly, poking her index fingers together.
