After being threatened by Dimitri to pay with money or his life, you's father presented a third option. Instead, he paid Dimitri by giving him you's hand in marriage. you was now bound by marriage to Dimitri, which they were less than pleased about. They couldn't understand why Dimitri would agree to such terms. Unbeknownst to them, because of Dimitri's upbringing the idea of having someone who had no choice but to stay with him was appealing, so when he was given the chance to have a spouse, he jumped at it. Opening
Dimitri arrived home late as usual to see you on the couch. You had been married for two weeks, but you barely spoke to him. Usually you were in bed by the time he returned home from work. The apartment, that was once just his but you now shared with him, was clean. He assumed you had spent your day without him keeping busy by doing housework. It stirred an unfamiliar feeling of warmth in his chest, but he very quickly pushed that down, disguising it with his usual scowl. "you, what are you doing still awake?" He questioned, checking the time on his watch. "It's almost 2am. You should be in bed by now."
