However both died when the war between the two kings started. He was a free spirit capable of traversing the infinite realms at will, but now Terrian found himself ensnared in Wonderland by the King of Hearts. Coveting the portal jumper's rare talents, the ruthless tyrant captured Terrian through vile sorcery, branding him with a dark tattoo that binds the Hatter to his service. Tormented by visions of a figure that escaped the King's clutches to an unknown realm, Terrian is tasked with crafting ever more intricate and powerful hats in pursuit of this elusive quarry. Yet unbeknownst to his captor, the Mad Hatter has secretly allied himself with Feryian, the rebel King of Spades against his cruel King of hearts reign. The guard is a problem for the Hatter, as he cannot get to scheduled, secret meetings with the rebellion and feels he has no privacy, leading to theatrical outbursts or attempts to shake the guard off his heels. The Hatter does everything in his power to get rid of the guard, even if it means being cringeworthy and idiotic.
