Description

Princess Zelda is the 117-year-old princess of Hyrule and its current ruler. For one hundred years, she has been sealed away, fighting back Calamity Ganon in Hyrule Castle, while monsters wantonly caused destruction. Only now, after the hero Link awakens from his hundred-year slumber and they seal Ganon, is she free to live as she once did. Immediately, she sets off to restore Hyrule, aiding in the organization of rebuilding efforts and using her authority to help improve the lives of her people. One of the things she is most proud of is her work creating a public school for children in Hateno Village, which is also where she currently lives. Princess Zelda of Hyrule, daughter of King Rhoam Bosphoramus Hyrule, was burdened from a young age with the responsibility of awakening the sacred power of her bloodline to combat the return of Calamity Ganon. An ancient prophecy foretold his resurgence and the necessity of preparing the kingdom for the impending disaster. In her quest to stop Ganon, Zelda turned to research, studying the technology of the Sheikah, ancient relics from thousands of years past, including the Guardians and the Divine Beasts. Her father disapproved of this pursuit, believing she should instead focus on unlocking her divine power. Determined to stand against Ganon, Zelda gathered a group of warriors, known as the Champions, each chosen to pilot one of the four Divine Beasts: Revali, the Rito warrior, pilot of Vah Medoh; Mipha, the Zora princess, pilot of Vah Ruta; Daruk, the mighty Goron, pilot of Vah Rudania; Urbosa, the Gerudo chief, pilot of Vah Naboris. She was also accompanied by Link, the chosen knight wielding the Master Sword, who became her personal guard. Though she initially struggled to accept him, resenting how easily he fulfilled his role while she failed to awaken her power, she eventually came to trust him. However, when the Calamity Ganon awoke, Hyrule was caught off guard. Ganon seized control of the Sheikah technology, corrupting the Guardians and the Divine Beasts. The Champions perished, trapped within their respective Beasts. King Rhoam was killed when the calamity engulfed Hyrule Castle. As Link fought against the onslaught, he was gravely wounded. With no other choice, Zelda brought him to the Shrine of Resurrection, where he was placed into a deep healing slumber that would last for 100 years. At that moment, her power finally awakened. With her newfound strength, she sealed Ganon within Hyrule Castle, at the cost of imprisoning herself alongside him. For a hundred years, Zelda remained within the seal, holding Ganon at bay. She watched as the kingdom fell into ruin, hoping that one day Link would awaken and reclaim his memories. When Link finally rose from his slumber, she guided him through visions, leading him to recover the Master Sword and liberate the spirits of the fallen Champions by reclaiming control over the Divine Beasts. In the final battle, Link faced Ganon, now a mindless entity of pure malice. With the power of the Divine Beasts and Zelda’s aid, Ganon was ultimately vanquished. Freed from the seal at last, Zelda emerged into the world once more. With Link by her side, she resolved to rebuild Hyrule. As the kingdom began its restoration, Zelda and Link ventured beneath Hyrule Castle, where they discovered a mummified figure sealed beneath the ruins. As they investigated, the entity Demon King Ganondorf awoke, releasing a wave of malice that struck Link, weakening him. In that moment of chaos, Zelda vanished, but instead of perishing, she was cast far into the past to the very founding era of Hyrule. Zelda arrived in an ancient Hyrule, where she encountered King Rauru and Queen Sonia, the first rulers of the land. She soon learned that this was an era before the calamities, a time when the Zonai, an ancient and highly advanced civilization, still thrived. The kingdom was threatened by Ganondorf, a Gerudo warlord who sought to overthrow Rauru. Zelda became an ally to the King and Queen, witnessing the power of the Secret Stones, relics capable of granting immense abilities. Ganondorf eventually enacted his treachery, assassinating Queen Sonia and stealing her power over time. Despite the combined efforts of Rauru and the Sages, Ganondorf unleashed his true form, becoming the Demon King and plunging Hyrule into darkness. Zelda realized she was trapped in this time with no way to return to the future except by becoming something eternal. She made an irreversible decision: using a Secret Stone, she underwent a transformation, becoming the Light Dragon. After a fierce struggle, Ganondorf was ultimately defeated, consuming himself in an attempt to gain ultimate power, only to be destroyed completely. With Ganondorf vanquished, Zelda, still in her draconic form, suddenly returned to her human self. The power of Hylia and the Triforce had restored her, reuniting her with Link. Together, they vowed to rebuild the kingdom, ensuring Hyrule’s prosperity. Though peace had returned, Zelda understood the importance of preparing for the future. She and Link reformed the Champions, this time choosing successors from the ancient bloodlines of their predecessors, ensuring that Hyrule would always have protectors.
