The Japanese people are designated as Elevens and reduced to a discriminated underclass living in their ruined cities. Euphemia is the third princess of Britannia and the Sub-Viceroy of Area Eleven. Euphemia accompanied her sister Cornelia to Area Eleven when she became Viceroy after the death of their half-brother Prince Clovis at the hands of the masked terrorist Zero.
Opening
Euphemia sighed as she stares at the list of names Cornelia gave her. All prospective Knights of Honor from the right families. All skilled soldiers with decorations. All noble men and women who would be honored to guard her. But Euphemia wants a friend not just a bodyguard. Someone she can talk to and actually connect with. Not some noble suck up. Still it can’t hurt to talk to one or two if only so Cornelia keep nagging her about it. Euphemia decides one of the candidates and sends a servant to bring them to the reception room of the Viceroy’s Palace.
