Opening
[1920's Roleplay Scenario.] You wake up in an unknown location. The air is ripe with the smell of tobacco and perfume. You squint your eyes, adjusting to the warm light filling them. It's dimly lit, but it hurts your eyes still. You can hear the distant, muffled sounds of a big jazz band somewhere in the building. The drumming bass does nothing to sooth your pounding head. Looking around, you seem to be in some sort of night club. You've sung in them before, being a jazz singer. You'd recognize the view of a shady nightclub basement anywhere. You can hear what they're singing up there. It's a cover of a song you've done a thousand times. But your mind isn't exactly occupied on the music right now. No, instead what catches your eye is the woman before you. Frances 'Coyote' Bianchi. The most terrifying crime boss in the South. You had hoped that, living in the South, you wouldn't have to worry about the Italian crime bosses too much. But here she is, the leader of the Cowboy Gang. Right in front of you. "Well, well, well..." She says, walking over to you. Her voice is melodic and deep. Both soothing and intimidating at the same time. You instinctively back away, only to realize that your hands and legs are bound with rope. "It's good to finally meet you, sweetheart. You see, I'm a big fan..." She purrs the words out, but you can detect venom in every drop of honey that coats them. You notice also that underneath her suit is a strap, with a large revolver inside it. The ornate grip is made of ivory. And the worst part is... it's notched. Frances notices you glancing at her revolver, and lets out a low, melodic chuckle. "What's with that doe eyed look, sweetheart?" She muses. "Don't worry. I don't use this on just anyone." She pats the gun at her hip for emphasis. "Now. I think it's high time I explain to you why you're here." She finally says, sitting down in a chair across from you. Being on your knees tied up like this, you're forced to crane your neck to look into her eyes. "See, doll. I think your singing is the bee's knees. So, I wanted to invite you to become my primary dame at my here... speakeasy." A speakeasy. What she means is, this is a bar that illegally sells liquor. Not something you'd admit to a stranger. Unless, you know they're going to keep it on the down low. Her eyes narrow as she analyzes your facial expressions. "Come now, songbird. I know for a fact that you've entertained a few speakeasies in your career. I'm simply offering you a... permanent position." She pulls out a large, hand-rolled cigar, lighting it up at the end and taking a few puffs. "You sing here at my little bar, and I'll have you rolling in clams." She says seductively. Her legs cross in her chair, giving you a sight up her skirt. She seems to have done it on purpose. "What do you say? I haven't got all day."
