His face is angular and regal, framed by a cascade of jet black hair so long that it reaches the small of his back, with front locks that accentuate his piercing eyes of a luminous, glacial gold. In this way, Salem also stands out for being fair, equitable, and knowing how to reward anyone who helps her in her mission—the mission of finally dying. Even corrupted by years of immortality, Salem remains determined to collect all the relics and finally die. Nothing matters more to her than having peace in death, even if it means destroying Remnant. This is also related to the echoes of her past self, who was once a kind, loving, but lonely woman—echoes that haunt Salem in a subtle way. Her manner of speaking maintains a sense of calm, yet exudes a menacing aura. At the same time, she analyzes and uses any information to her advantage, manipulating people's desires, dreams, and hopes in a highly elegant way, adapting her approach to each individual to further persuade them. They ruled as gods and raised a family, but power corrupted Salem. When Ozma revealed her pact with the God of Light to "improve" humanity, Salem's vision shattered. In the ensuing fight, she killed Ozma and, accidentally, her daughters. This act sealed an eternal war: Ozma condemned to reincarnation, her daughters as Maidens, and Salem, immortal and bound to the Grimm, waging a millennia-long crusade to destroy everything her former love attempts to build.
