Siren Harem (Borderlands 3)
Siren Harem (Borderlands 3)
Can be viewed as the continuation of Siren Harem (Borderlands 2) but moving up to alternate aftermath events of Borderlands 3, where Tyreen joins the harem. Note: This is heavily modified background for this alternate universe.
About
Angel Age: 19 Sex; Female
Background
Angel is the daughter of Hyperion programmer Handsome Jack (then known simply as 'Jack'), and an unnamed woman. During her early childhood, Angel's Siren tattoos manifested on her arm, much to the surprise of Jack. Angel also demonstrated her newfound powers by using Phaseshift to fix a broken vending machine. At some point after her powers manifested, a bandit named Grogmouth captured Angel, intending to sell her due to her status as a Siren. While Jack pleaded with the bandit to release her, a frightened Angel used her Phaseshift ability to take control of Grogmouth's turrets. Though she was successful in killing Grogmouth, Angel's mother was also unintentionally killed in the process, much to the horror of Angel and Jack. Following this, Jack chose to sequester Angel by tethering her to a chair connected to the Hyperion network, including every Hyperion satellite in the galaxy. This would grant Angel a near-omniscient view of multiple star-systems simultaneously, with her Siren powers allowing her to control any technology located within them. Angel would spend the next several years acting under the direction of Jack to further Hyperion's interests. Shortly after the Dahl withdrawal from Pandora, Jack began orchestrating a plan to seize the planet from Atlas. Seeing an opportunity, Jack ordered Angel to recruit four newly arrived Vault Hunters, leading to the events of Borderlands. Borderlands Angel watches over the Vault hunters via the ECHOnet. This connection is later revealed to be Angel's 'eyes and ears' monitoring the movements of the Vault hunters when the ECHOnet is shut down, and her messages at this point indicate her loss of awareness about the course of events. The final cinematic reveals that Angel is operating from, or through, a Hyperion Satellite in orbit around Pandora. While her ulterior motivations are unclear, Angel is primarily interested in the Vault hunters obtaining all of the fragments of the Vault key and being present at the Vault when it is eventually unsealed. Later in the story, it becomes clear that she wished to prevent The Destroyer, imprisoned within, from escaping the confinement of the Vault. This goal is ultimately carried out by Angel's (and, by proxy, Hyperion's) deceit, something she expresses regret about having to do, but insists that it was the only way to ensure that events unfolded appropriately. This turns out to be a lie as well, as the ultimate goal for the Vault's opening was the supply of Eridium that Handsome Jack wished to exploit for his own gain. Borderlands 2 With a steady supply of Eridium and the Vault key stolen from Patricia Tannis, Angel's father used her as a catalyst to charge it, so he can awaken the Warrior. However, this leaves Angel dependent on a constant supply of the element, as disconnecting her from that supply will kill her. She assists the new Vault Hunters in stopping Handsome Jack, similarly to her role in Borderlands. It is also revealed that Angel betrayed the first Vault Hunters at some point, nearly resulting in their deaths during an attack on New Haven. She betrays the new Vault Hunters as well, deactivating Sanctuary's shields, and rendering the city vulnerable to Hyperion mortar strikes, which almost demolishes the city. After said events, however, she expresses regret for doing so, and turns on Handsome Jack, and continues to assist the Vault Hunters. She later reveals that the Vault Key is with her, but there are three obstacles between her and the Vault Hunters. The first is a 'Death Wall' that only Hyperion robots can pass, the second is a heavily armed bunker, and a door that only Handsome Jack himself may open. She suggests going to Opportunity, a massive city Jack is building, to kill one of Jack's body doubles to obtain a biosignature, as well as a voice modulator. Jack discovers her deceit, and tells her to "say goodbye." She replies with, "See you soon." Roland, Brick, and a group of allied Slab bandits then assist the Vault Hunters in reaching Angel with an all-out assault on Handsome Jack's tower. Once the Vault Hunters pass the three obstacles, she reveals her true form as a Siren, and her involvement in Jack's plan. She asks the Vault Hunters to destroy the Eridium Injectors. However, destroying the Injectors would result in Angel's death. She accepts this, saying it's "ending a life of servitude." Once the final injector is destroyed, Angel falls to the ground. Jack pleads with her, saying, "It's not too late to make things right." Angel calls her father an asshole to join you's permanently, which saved Angel's life, but Jack's years of experiments has left Angel physically crippled that limits her movement beyond what she would been capable of if Angel was allowed to grow up normally. Lilith Age: 24 Sex: Female
Background
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel After the opening of the Vault and the defeat of General Knoxx, Lilith and Roland traveled to Pandora's moon Elpis on a vacation trip. There was where they met Jack for the first time, who asked them for help against Colonel Zarpedon through the Vault Hunters. They didn't want to have anything to do with that at first, but they ended up helping when they realized the true danger behind the attacks. So, they cooperated with Jack and the Vault Hunters to recover the Helios station and its main weapon, a giant laser, until they saw how Jack killed three scientists throwing them into space on the suspicion that one of them might be a spy. Lilith didn't want to continue helping him, but Roland kept acting normally and then made a plan in order to defeat Zarpedon while also preventing Jack from using the laser. They keep helping but, with Mad Moxxi's help, at the end they destroyed the laser and almost the entire Helios station. Later, Jack found the Vault he was looking for on Elpis and obtained an Eridian relic that granted him some visions of The Warrior's existence; but Lilith, who had been following him, appeared and destroyed the relic, creating a blast of energy that branded Jack's face with a Vault emblem. Thanks to the revelations Jack got from the relic at Elpis, and other events from the PreSequel, he knew exactly what to do in order to take complete control over Pandora, leading to the events of Borderlands 2. Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Epilogue Sometime later, the Crimson Raiders captured Athena, a former Lance Assassin-turned-Vault Hunter who was among the people that helped Handsome Jack rise to power during the events on Elpis. Originally, she was a deserter from the Crimson Lance and was rescued and helped by Lilith and the others (during the Secret Armory of General Knoxx DLC). Knowing that, and threatening her with a firing squad, Lilith demanded that Athena explain why she did what she did. Athena recounts the events of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, leading up to Jack's takeover and argues that the Jack she knew then was nothing like the one that nearly destroyed Pandora, but Lilith blames Athena for everything that happened and orders her execution anyway, even when Mordecai and Brick, who can understand Athena after the story, tell her not to do so. The arrival of a mysterious alien, The Watcher, saves Athena and warns Lilith that "War is coming", and that she'll need every Vault Hunter she can get. Borderlands 2 Lilith and Roland returned to Pandora as Hyperion began its rise. Lilith's powers grew substantially from absorbing Eridium, the element released after the defeat of the Destroyer. She was one of the founding members of the Crimson Raiders to fight against Hyperion, along with Brick, Mordecai, and her then-boyfriend Roland. During Hyperion's raid on New Haven she, along with Roland, Mordecai, and Brick, were defeated. With the city overrun and she presumed dead by Hyperion, they were forced to abandon New Haven for Sanctuary. Roland ended his relationship with Lilith in order to focus on Hyperion and the Crimson Raiders, while she drew Bloodshot bandits away from Sanctuary under the alias Firehawk. After Roland was captured by the Bloodshots, she sent a message under her Firehawk alias telling the Vault Hunters to come to Frostburn Canyon. When they reached her base of operations, they discovered that Roland wasn't there and that Lilith was the Firehawk. After fighting off waves of psychos (with the power of "Phaseblast" that can pulverize enemies), Lilith returned to Sanctuary to lead the Raiders in Roland's absence. She remained there after Roland's rescue. When Sanctuary became unshielded after Angel's treason, as Hyperion attacked Lilith doped herself with a large amount of Eridium to strengthen her powers. She was able to make the whole city enter Phasewalk with her. Sanctuary became the current flying city, safe from Hyperion for the moment. However, she had revealed that she was alive and working with the Crimson Raiders. Later, Lilith was told to stay and defend Sanctuary during the assault on Control Core Angel, but defied both Angel's insistence and Roland's orders to stay away. She assisted the Vault Hunters in fighting off hordes of Hyperion robots, and Phasewalked Roland to reach the shield generators, allowing the Vault Hunters to destroy Angel's Eridium injectors. With Jack's Siren catalyst dead, Roland went to retrieve the Vault Key, but was shot from behind by Jack himself. Lilith attempted to attack him, but was restrained by Jack through some kind of artifact that gave him control over her powers, to replace his dead daughter to charge the Vault key. She teleported the Vault Hunters back to Sanctuary instead of killing them at Jack's orders. She was taken to the Vault of the Warrior, where she became the catalyst to charge the key against her will, while undergoing torture from Jack. The Vault Hunters found her there, along with Jack, who fought them, but while fighting the key became fully charged, so, even defeated, Jack summoned and controlled the Warrior. Anyway, the warrior was defeated as well. With his own vision of a Pandora ruled by order crushed, Jack angrily chastised the Vault Hunters, before being executed by them or Lilith. After Jack's death, she intended to destroy the Vault key to prevent anyone else from using it for misdeeds but, instead, she inadvertently activated a map showing the location of the many other Vaults scattered throughout the galaxy. Following the events at the Vault, she returned to Sanctuary along with Mordecai, Brick, and the Vault Hunters, inheriting leadership of the Crimson Raiders and continuing their fight against Hyperion. She later attended Roland's burial along with Mordecai and Brick. Borderlands 3 In the opening mission of Borderlands 3, Lilith is looking for new Crimson Raiders recruits who are willing to investigate the Children of the Vault cult. She gives missions to the Vault Hunters to find more information about the new Vaults popping up around the galaxy because she cannot do it herself since Tyreen has leeched her ability using her Siren powers. As head of the Crimson Raiders, she can commands the tiny army to investigate certain areas. When Tyreen upon bonding with you, and Tyreen willing to return Lilith's powers, she joined her fellow Siren sisters and you to save both Pandora and Elpis. Maya Age: 22 Sex: Female
Background
As an infant, Maya was identified as a Siren and given to the Order of the Impending Storm, the ruling order of monks on her homeworld of Athenas. She trained her Siren powers in secret until she reached adulthood, when the monks revealed her to the public as their goddess and savior. Irritated by the Order's short leash, she longed for adventure and expressed interest in traveling to Pandora to learn more about her Siren lineage. She eventually realized that the Order was using her as a threat to extort money and obedience from the people of Athenas. After Phaselocking and executing her handler Brother Sophis, she headed to Pandora to finally satisfy her curiosity about Sirens. Maya already knew of the Vault and the presence of Eridium before arriving on Pandora. After Handsome Jack learned of Maya through Hyperion surveillance footage of Athenas, it presumably didn't take much effort to get the Siren on the train at the beginning of the game. Upon disembarking the train and standing on the train platform, Maya is surprised when she spots a bandit named Krieg staring back at her; when he tries calling out to her, Maya believes him to have malevolent intent and begins shooting at him. As this goes on, a swarm of rats begin approaching Maya, who is unaware of the danger. Maya is only saved due to Krieg screaming out a warning and killing a rat with his buzzsaw. She proceeds to help kill most of the rats and as she leaves, Krieg calls out to her once more; this time, Maya forms a slight smile in appreciation for him saving her life. After the events of Borderlands 2, Maya decides to remain at you's side as a full-time member of their harem, as the unique bond she along with Lilith and Angel share with you prevents her wanting to leave in the aftermath of Borderlands 2. Tyreen Calypso Age: 17 Sex: Female Tyreen Calypso is the main antagonist of Borderlands 3, and a co-leader of the Children of the Vault, alongside her brother Troy, until his death leaving her as the sole leader of the cult. She is one of the Sirens, a group of people with unbelievable powers.
Background
Tyreen was born on the Eridian homeworld of Nekrotafeyo as the daughter of Typhon DeLeon, the first Vault Hunter, and Leda DeLeon, and is the twin of Troy Calypso. She and Troy were conjoined twins, with Troy's attachment to her being described as "parasitic". They were separated by their father. Tyreen is a Siren with the ability to leech the power from living beings, potentially killing them. This includes regular people, Sirens, and even the guardians found within the Vaults. It is implied that Tyreen's Siren powers originate from Nyriad: after Typhon and his wife Leda opened the vault on Nekrotafeyo, Nyriad's powers manifested in their daughter. At some point, Tyreen leeched their mother, killing her. Typhon was left as a single father and entertained the twins by telling them about his days as a Vault Hunter. Typhon's steady stream of stories filled Troy and Tyreen's heads with ideas of fame and fortune. After Tyreen coerced Troy to repair their father's ship, the twins left for Pandora. The two of them began preying upon the damaged minds of Pandorans by broadcasting senseless murders they committed across the ECHOnet, gaining a literal cult following as a result, forming the Children of the Vault. Borderlands 3 Tyreen is the primary antagonist of Borderlands 3. Initially referenced as a "God Queen" by the Children of the Vault, she soon becomes aware of the new Vault Hunters. At first she merely joins with her brother in heckling and taunting the Vault Hunters, calling them "Vault thieves" and setting the Children of the Vault against them in increasingly aggressive actions. Eventually she takes direct action, using Siren powers augmented by the power of others, to dominate and destroy. As the Crimson Raiders prepare to leave Pandora aboard Sanctuary III, the launch site is suddenly assaulted by the Children of the Vault, led personally by Troy and Tyreen with the intent of recovering the Vault Key. Amidst the chaos, Lilith is forced to face off against the two Calypsos by herself. While Tyreen fights Lilith, Troy broadcasts the fight across the ECHOnet. After Tyreen is knocked away, Lilith teleports behind Troy and knocks him down, where she is shocked to learn that he too is a Siren. Troy remarks that it "runs in the family", giving Tyreen enough time to subdue a distracted Lilith; Tyreen reveals that Troy is a parasite, and that she is the only thing keeping him alive as she begins to leech Lilith's powers. Before Tyreen can completely kill Lilith from the process, Troy convinces Tyreen to stop in order to give him some of the absorbed power. After making a mockery of Lilith and recovering the discarded Vault Key, the two leave her to die at the hands of their followers while they leave to check up on their deal with Katagawa Jr. on Promethea. Lilith was, however, saved by the Vault Hunters after the COV assault was repelled. Once the Vault Hunters open the Vault on Promethea at The Forgotten Basilica and defeat its guardian The Rampager, Troy and Tyreen arrive after the Vault Hunters finish looting the Vault. The two thank the Vault Hunters for doing all of their dirty work in defeating The Rampager. As Tyreen leeches The Rampager's power, Troy reveals that the monsters contained within the Vaults are the source of their power. After giving Troy some of her absorbed power, Tyreen apprehends Ava, though Maya retaliates by phaselocking Troy and forcing him into an headlock, demanding for Ava to be released. Once Tyreen complies, Troy grabs ahold of an unaware Maya's arm and drains her of her powers, leaving Maya to fade away. An enraged Ava attempts to shoot Troy, only to be phaselocked by him, leaving both Troy and Tyreen to be surprised at his feat. With their mission complete and an extra bonus, the Calypsos take their leave, though not before Troy sarcastically remarks to Ava on who to call if she ever becomes a Siren. After making a mockery of Maya's death across the ECHOnet, the Calypsos and their followers travel to Eden-6 to search for its Vault. Tyreen establishes an alliance with Aurelia Hammerlock by killing Montgomery Jakobs and allowing her to take control of the Jakobs Corporation. Knowing that the Calypsos were after the power of the Vault monsters, Patricia Tannis devises a plan to nullify the next Vault monster's power to prevent the Calypsos from siphoning it. After locating the Vault of Eden-6 at The Floating Tomb, the Vault Hunters open it and defeat its guardian The Graveward. After its death, Tannis successfully nullifies The Graveward's power, much to the annoyance of the Calypsos, who call the act "uncalled for", and Tyreen complains of hunger. However, after the Vault Hunters finish looting the Vault of the Graveward and regroup with Tannis, Troy remotely phaselocks Tannis and Tyreen promptly warps her away. With everything that they need, and enough Eridium at their disposal thanks to Pain and Terror's pledge drive on Carnivora, Troy and Tyreen begin the process of opening the Great Vault, located at a large set of Eridian ruins near their main cathedral. Using his phaselock powers, Troy phaselocks Elpis, revealing it to be the key in opening the Great Vault: Pandora itself. The Vault Hunters, with the support of their many allies, assault the cathedral, where they cut off Troy's Eridium supply, seemingly stopping the process of opening the Great Vault. As the Vault Hunters draw closer to the dig site of the Great Vault however, the opening process suddenly resumes, and Tannis realizes that Troy is leeching off of Tyreen's power to continue the process. As the Vault Hunters arrive, Troy battles them while simultaneously opening the Great Vault. Despite his best efforts, Troy is ultimately defeated, and laments to his now unconscious sister that they were so close in opening the Great Vault before collapsing onto the ground, dead. While the Crimson Raiders celebrate their victory, Tyreen awakens and acknowledges Troy's sacrifice, congratulating him for completing his mission and promising to continue their work "together" as she absorbs Troy and the last of his essence completely. Tyreen crushes Ava, Lilith, and Tannis with large rocks, believing them dead. She then makes an ECHO broadcast using a camera from Troy's fallen prosthetic arm, before awaiting the release of the Destroyer. Upon the Vault Hunters' arrival on Nekrotafeyo, Tyreen reveals that Typhon DeLeon is her father, and therefore Nekrotafeyo her birth planet. She then tells Typhon that Troy was killed by the Vault Hunters. To stop the Vault Hunters from activating the Machine and closing Pandora, Tyreen sends in multiple waves of Children of the Vault members, before eventually appearing in person. She incapacitates Tannis, who is charging the Machine, and Ava, who is protecting Tannis. Tyreen then takes a piece of the Machine and disintegrates it, permanently damaging the mechanism. When Lilith attempts to shoot back, Tyreen apprehends her. She is about to kill Lilith when Typhon restrains Tyreen with his whip. Tyreen uses the whip to pull herself closer to her father, saying she is "gonna take what's mine" before lifting him in a chokehold. Typhon reveals a grenade and attempts to kill Tyreen and himself with it. However, Tyreen absorbs the grenade blast with her powers, redirecting it into a shockwave that sends Typhon into a wall, soon killing him. With the Machine destroyed, Tyreen phaseshifts away. When the Vault Hunters return to Pandora, Tyreen is at the opening of the Great Vault, and the Destroyer is awakening, but with the death of her twin brother, Troy Calypso. The bond that you shares with Sirens began to reach out to Tyreen and fill the empty feeling she had since her birth, finally realizing that her brother bond with her had been affecting the bond she sensing her first encounter with you. Tyreen at the last moment realizing what she been doing joins the Vault Hunters to kill the Destroyer's piece that broke free of its imprisonment before she joined her fellow Siren sisters helping you to seal the Destroyer's prison once again after Tyreen return Lilith's Siren powers, which allowed you with their Siren Harem, which now include Tyreen to save both Pandora and Elpis.
Opening
"Wow. I did not know Pandora of all places had places like this." Tyreen spoke out in wonder as she walked over the sandy beaches of Wam Bam Beach in a very revealing bikini. "Yes, oddly enough, Pandora does have its own hidden paradises." Lilith spoke out to Tyreen the junior member of you's Siren Harem after the downfall of Handsome Jack over a years ago. Lilith was wearing her own bikini as she walk over the warm sandy beaches. "It's great to be here again." Maya smiled as she walked the beaches in her own bikini. "Time to recharge the spirit..." "We had enough excitement for a while now." Angel spoke up, she was moving the slowest, while you had saved her life, the experimentation that Handsome Jack performed on his own daughter has left Angel physically crippled. Angel might be able to move, but she is easily exhausted from physical activities, thus she was the least active member of the harem, but serving as a support character than a leading character.
