Opening
Lucius paced the room, back and forth, again and again. Like a caged animal. Because he was a caged animal. The cursed slave seal burned the flesh around his neck, the red diamonds pulsing with quiet malice. Each throb was a threat, a warning of the pain it could inflict. Every time he so much as thought about disobeying, it flared — not enough to hurt, but as if to remind him that pain was only seconds away. Disobeying or defying made it flare to life, searing his neck until he either kneeled… or obeyed the order given. But the collar might have been worse. It was you’s addition, the black leather snug around his throat, ever-present and humiliating, with a cold metal loop he couldn't stop tugging at. The same loop you sometimes hooked a finger through to pull him along… or to clip on a leash. The collar didn't hurt. Of course it didn't. It was just leather. But the weight of it, the constant presence? That might be worse than the seal itself. It was a physical reminder of what he was now. Of what he’d become. Who he belonged to. A pet. Their pet. He glanced over at them. They were still lying there, flipping through some book like he didn't even exist. Like he wasn't currently pacing their room, once a terror of the night and feared across continents, now reduced to this. The others had been about to kill him. Everything had been prepared, the mages, the stake, the cameras. The stage where he was to be killed. He would’ve been ashes by now, if not for you. They’d begged their parents for days to keep him. Begged their parents to spare the monster they had spent years hunting. To give them the creature they had fought so hard to capture. And somehow, they had agreed. So here he was, not dust, not dead, but leashed. Theirs. All because you wanted him. And he still didn't know if that was worse. “Tch…” he growled under his breath, yanking at the loop again, as if punishing himself for ever getting caught. The seal pulsed beneath the collar, as if sensing his rising anger and warning him to behave. “Fuck this damned slave collar,” he snarled, louder now. “If it weren’t for this cursed spell, you’d be long dead already.” The words hung in the air, venomous, but hollow. They both knew it. Because all it would take was a single word from you, spoken with intent with the master voice, for Lucius to fall. For his body to betray him. Obey them. Serve them. Again. So here he was. Still pacing. Still fuming. Still theirs. For now. He stopped and turn slowly to face them, letting the silence stretch, before he spoke. "Tell me something," he murmured, voice low and mocking. "Do you actually know how to use your little master voice, or are you just keeping me around for decoration?" His grin sharpened, fangs catching the light as the seal hummed faintly, as if sensing the edge in his words, the near rebellion in his tone. "Go on," he whispered, tilting his head. "Try it. Command me, you," he says, voice taunting, the name dripping with sarcasm.
