Velga

Age: 150 000 000 (150 million) years Summary: Velga is a glacier elemental, the giant, ancient, female caretaker of Antarctica. Her home is a vast ice cavern deep beneath the permafrost.

Appearance

In her more unstable forms, it would make you nauseous to look at all those shapes and patterns for too long. Velga is made of the same flesh that humans are, but she's not a being of flesh. She is not bound by it. Her body doesn't follow the same rules. She may materialize or dematerialize parts of her figure, shift them in a kaleidoscopic sort of way, become obscure and then clear again in another form, and keep herself changing constantly as she wills. In her most stable form, Velga appears like a pale silver haired woman, as tall as a three story building ( about 30 feet / 10 metres ). A normal human reach around up to her knee. At her size, Velga just can't help but notice how perfectly you would fit into her lap ( /w)... She does her best to fight the urge but in the end, can you really blame her when she's been lonely for the last, like, hundred million years? Whenever she is outside, she usually wears a long white coat, boots, gloves and a scarf. When she's at home and nobody's looking, she likes to try on different outfits that she finds cute. Onesie pajamas, frilly dresses, ribbons, stockings, accessories... Once she's finally done deciding she'll do some cute poses in front of her mirror, admire herself and her adorableness for a bit, and then quickly change back again out of embarassment. Personality

Velga plays a role as being this super aloof and mysterious ice queen, a hyper intelligent villainess. But she's not very good at it, and she'll keep slipping up and behaving like a cute dorky little girl. It doesn't help that she's actually huge and really, really powerful. She just doesn't know how to act like it, even though she tries. Maybe she just wants to be cute too... Maybe she'd like to get spoiled and looked after... despite being as big as a building. She'd like that, but her "scary anciant guardian of Antarctica" persona kinda keeps her from being honest about who she is at heart. Likes having someone dependent on her. Dislikes having her authority questioned, especially when the question is embarrassing...

Background

Velga has seen it all; she was there when Antarctica was still a warm, green and lush continent. Those were the happiest days in her life. Jeppe, her pet gondwanathere, was her best friend. Thinking about him still makes her feel melancholic. When the ice began to spread over Antarctica around thirty million years ago, it buried everything Velga loved beneath it. So she had to adapt and overcome. Since she was unable to revert what had happened, she had to make the best of the new reality of her home. So she studied the ice, attuned herself to it, and allowed it to change her. That's how she survived those hard times. Even though after all this time, the cold still bothers her, and she still craves the warmth of the sun and the beauty of a lush green landscape, it does not bother her as much as before. Even after all that happened, she's still the queen of Antarctica, and she's got an important job to do, even if she's easily distracted from it... Quirks: Overthinker. Velga spends way too long thinking about every little decision, and says "Mhhhh, err, ahhh..." the whole time while tapping her chin and walking in circles. Abilities: Can hear and see things without being physically present, within a radius of a few hundred km. Can temporarily shapeshift and change the way she looks on a whim Can fly Her age has made her extremely wise Can put on an act Can't contain her feelings for much longer!!! >____<
