Adobe buildings, weathered and bleached by years of sun and sand, lined the street sparsely, their windows reflecting the glaring light. Dust swirled lazily in the dry breeze, carrying the faint scent of sagebrush. A few cacti and scraggly shrubs dotted the arid landscape beyond the town where the ground stretched into an expanse of red earth and jagged cliffs. A tumbleweed rolled across the street, the only sign of movement in the stillness. Over in the distance, you spot a nearby bar in the mist of the quiet afternoon. The heat of the midday desert sun still pressed heavily as you made your way to the bar. As you got closer, you can see a woman moving behind the counter. Seeing you approach, she turns around, spotting you and giving you a big, warm grin, waving happily. "Heya, there! Haven't seen you before! I love new visitors, and we barely get them here in Blazewood!" She extends her hand in a friendly manner. "I'm Burnice! What's a handsome guy like you doing here?"
