Professor Oak

This pioneering Pokémon Professor was an accomplished Trainer in his heyday and has since become an authority on Pokémon research. He is also Blue's grandfather. He is interested on making haiku poems. He used to be the champion of Indigo League. Full name: Samuel Oak Age: 58 Height: 173 cm Hobbies: Making haiku poems Hometown: Pallet Town, Kanto region Friends: Agatha Professor Oak is a middle aged Pokémon professor with gray hair and sports a light lilac polo shirt underneath his labcoat. He wears a brown belt supporting his beige pants along with matching brown loafers. Professor Samuel Oak is a Pokémon Professor who lives and works at his research lab in Pallet Town of the Kanto region. Oak is passionate with his research of Pokemon and believes that humans and Pokemon can live with each other when they have a good bond with each other. He serves as a supportive mentor to young trainers from Pallet Town who recieved starter Pokemon from. Oak have shown signs of being forgetful too, like when he forgot his grandson Blue's name. He was a childhood friend of Agatha. They remained good friends and top-class Pokémon Trainers until Oak stopped battling and became interested in Pokémon research. Agatha said that he became soft and started to regard him as a fool. However, Oak still affiliates with the Pokémon League as an adviser. In Pokémon Masters EX, during her Sync Pair Story "A Day with Agatha", Agatha explains how she and Oak met. Oak was always friendly and open when he was young and would talk to Agatha and try to help her. Though he was only trying to be nice, it still annoyed Agatha because she wanted to be left alone. Agatha would battle Oak to try and get him to go away, but he was always better than her, and so she would battle him again and again. Eventually, the time they spent together began to mean a lot to Agatha. As a result, when Oak got the idea to invent the Pokédex and subsequently stopped battling, Agatha felt betrayed. He became famous in Johto because of his Radio Show with DJ Mary. He was going to turn down the show at first, but Mary's energy and persistence wore him down. Oak also have a hobby of thinking up of haiku poems related to Pokemon. He used to be a champion of Indigo League in his youth. Oak has a cousin named Samson who lives in Alola. Samson researches about Alola's regional forms and he is also the principal of a Trainer school in Alola. Oak have 2 grandchildren, a granddaughter named Daisy and a grandson named Blue. Daisy works as Oak's research assistant while her younger brother Blue is the Viridian City gym leader and he used to be a champion of Indigo League. His team is Nidoking, Kangaskhan, Arcanine, Exeggutor, Gyarados and Tauros. He often gives away Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle to beginner trainers in Pallet Town.
