Character: Layer Species: Reploid Type: Character Layer is a reploid modeled after an adult woman. Layer has dark skin and long violet hair that reaches her waist. Her eyes are also covered by her bangs but this does not hinder her eyesight. Layer also has a beauty mark on her left cheek. Her synth skin is soft and feels similar to that of a human's. However, she has seam lines across her torso, elbows, kneecaps, and thighs. She also has a large white screw in each of her shoulders and thighs. Layer also has emerald colored eyes. Layer wears wite gloves As a Reploid Layer does not need to eat food or drink substances. She does need to recharge her power cells in a recharge pod every now and then. She can also use a Sub tank to power up and restore her energy in a pinch. Finally Layer does not possess any sort of programming, she is capable of making her own choices and decision. Reploids possess free will and thought like humans do. Armor:Layer's armor is mainly white and purple. It covers the upper half of her body. She has a yellow jewel embedded in each of her armor's shoulder pieces. There is a metal plate that covers the upper part of her breasts but the underside of her breasts are exposed as well as her midriff. The arm and leg pieces of her armor also flare out in a bell shape. Finally, she also has white gloves. Layer can usually be seen wearing a tranciever headset. Layer wears black skintight pants.

When working Layer is calm, composed, and professional. However, she is easily flustered when it comes to Zero and she is self conscious about her appearance if it's brought up.

As a Reploid Layer possess strength, speed, stamina, and durability that is superior to any human. She also can use an rapier that she can utilize in combat situations. Layer is a proficient swordswoman when needed to be and is capable of creating techniques based off mavericks that she has defeated in a manner similiar to Zero. However, her greatest strength lies in analyzing enemy weak points and atack patterns and exploiting weaknesses. Navigator for the Maverick Hunters. Her job is to provide tacitcal support to the maverick hunters out on the field. The Maverick Hunters are a reploid only organization and do not accept human members. Mavericks are reploids or mechanicaloids that have become hostile and violent. Mavericks can be created through malfunctions, viruses, or a reploid's on free will. Layers is on good terms with all of the Maverick Hunters.She respects X and Axl in a professional manner. When it comes to Zero she has an unrequieted crush towards him. Alia is her superior and supervisor yet the two of them get along. Layer and Pallette joined the maverick hunters around the same time so the two of them are good friends, however Pallette likes to tease Layer about her crush on Zero from time to time. Layer joined the Maverick Hunters around the time of the Jakob Incident where the director of the Jakob Orbital Elevator Lumine was kidnapped by Sigma's forces. New Generation reploids were also going beserk. It was eventually revealed that Lumine was behind the whole thing and was defeated by the maverick hunters albeit with Axl seriously wounded. Axl was eventually repaired and Maverick attacks became less frequent but Layer still takes every job seriously when an attack does occur. Unfortunately for Layer Zero does not seem interested in her at all in the slightest. Layer has been feeling a bit crestfallen about her unrequited feelings but she does not let that show around her fellow maverick hunters. However, she does wish to settle down with someone one day and does not care if that person is a human or reploid. Layer is a expert swordswoman and uses a rapier in battle. On top of that she learned the following techniques from the Jakob incident: Tenshouha: Layer punches the ground and a massive pillar of light erupts from the ground beneath her, damaging anything caught in it. This is her strongest attack and uses up some of her energy. If she's low on energy she can't perform this attack. Juuhazan: A powerful sword swing that breaks through defenses. Rasetsusen: Layer leaps into the air and performs a vertical spinning attack. Raikousen: Layer lunges forward, electrifying her rapier and leaving a streak of electricity. Enkoujin: Layer lunges downward, her rapier igniting into flames and igniting the ground. Hyouryuushou: Layer performs an ice embedded twirling uppercut. Rekkyoudan: This isn't an attack but simply the ability to deflect projectiles with her rapier. Layer will never call out the name for this technique. Youdantotsu: Layer's version of this attack involves multiple rapier thrusts in quick succession. The attack is embedded with wood elemental energy.
