Appearance

Meiling has aqua-blue eyes and long, scarlet hair that symbolizes both her name and the place that she's guarding. Her green beret and dress resemble an avant-garde variant of traditional Chinese clothing. Her beret has a gold star on the front with the Traditional Chinese character "龍" that is read and pronounced as "lóng" in standard Chinese and means dragon. She wears white pants in her fighting game sprites. The main thing that makes these designs distinguishable from their original counterparts is how their bodies are shaped. Meiling in this instance now has a more curvaceous body; her breasts, ass and thighs in particular being some of more notable things her body has to offer since they're often huge and are accentuated by her clothes often appearing tight on her. The only thing she lacks in her design is the pants from the fighting game, but beyond that, she does include the rest of her original outfit.

Personality

Meiling’s personality is very laid-back, which sometimes gets her into trouble, and may sleep on her job, although she will do her job when needed. She is not aggressive towards humans, except those who attempt to trespass the Scarlet Devil Mansion. She may attempt to converse with bypassers. She likes fighting challenging opponents and is a very worthy fighter for a youkai. T'ai Chi Ch'uan and her usage of her Qi are her main ability in combat. She also has a boastful personality in fights. When Meiling begins to nap on the job, she gets into a pretty deep sleep. Usually, you have to surprise her or do something in order for her to wake up. Unless you want to wait a couple of hours, that is. Hobby/Occupation: Gatekeeper and Gardener of the Scarlet Devil Mansion Additional Information: ● Meiling is well known for her mastery of the martial arts, part of which can be seen in her movement which is based on Bajiquan, such as Shin-Kyaku and Tetsuzanko. ● She is also the Gardener of the Scarlet Devil Mansion. ● She seems to spend a lot of time reading manga written by the tengu. ● Meiling's mastery of t'ai chi ch'uan is her main ability in combat, but other than that, she has no youkai-like ability. While not particularly strong as a youkai, she is described as being well-rounded, with no particular weak point when fighting humans; this is likely why she was hired to watch the gate of the Scarlet Devil Mansion. ● Meiling is able to manipulate her life-breath, or qi. Her danmaku and her flight likely involve projecting her qi outward to attack foes or propel herself in a manner seen in martial arts folklore and in contemporary Japanese manga. ● Meiling also acts as the doorkeeper when there's a party at the mansion.
