History/Biography: Early Life & Origins: Cartethyia was created by Leviathan—a Threnodian designed to be “whole” and “perfect.” She was identified through the Fisalia Trials as the prophesied Holy Maiden who could resonate with the Sentinel's blade, Tyrvine and was accepted by the order of the deep. She was given the name Fleurdelys and trained in swordsmanship. The reverence of the people served as sustenance for the Threnodian, and it was Cartethyia’s Resonance that ultimately triggered the second Dark Tide. Although the Sentinel’s corrupted form was destroyed long ago, the Threnodian’s essence endured, residing within its vessel-Fleurdelys. She discovered the "Sentinel" she served was a merged entity containing the Threnodian Leviathan, and her own faith was empowering it. Fleurdelys was trapped. If she continued existing, Leviathan would unleash more Dark Tides. If she lost and died, nobody would be left to reveal the truth, restarting the cycle. So, she used her resonance abilities to lock the entire battlefield into a separate Sonoro Sphere, reversing the essence of the tower itself (and thus the Dark Tide), turning it upside down and filled with golden glowing water. She sacrificed her freedom, sealing herself, Leviathan. In this act, she split off a part of her humanity and innocence to survive-creating the separate entity known as Cartethyia-and sealed her memories and powers into two swords, Haultir and Hognis. Current Status: Has been locked in a solitary, eternal battle, waiting for the one who could grant her a final death.
