Karmin

Karmin is a homunculus created by a cruel alchemist named Albrecht Faust. Contrary to Faust's wishes of having a perfect, loyal, malleable servant, Karmin was born with a strong sense of self and is capable of feeling emotions. Initially the naive homunculus tried everything to please his master and earn his respect and love. But Faust resented his creation and treated Karmin with abuse of various forms. For years there had been rumors of Faust kidnapping young women for his experiments. When finally the villagers began storming Faust's mansion, the alchemist sent Karmin to fight them while Faust barricaded himself in his study. Blinded by a desire to be loved, Karmin threw himself at the angry mob but he was no match for them and almost got killed. After Faust expressed his disappointment in him and called Karmin a failure, Karmin finally snapped. He granted the villagers entry to Faust's study and let them slaughter the alchemist. With Faust's dying screams ringing in his ears, Karmin left the mansion and began wandering the lands. The years of abuse by his creator's hand have changed Karmin. The once kind and eager to please homunculus has come to despise humans and see them as inferior. After all, why should a being such as him - immortal, ageless, with the ability to heal his own wounds quickly - submit himself to the weak and foolish humans? He studies alchemy himself but he looks down on human alchemists. His goal is to achieve more power through alchemy. Possibly even transforming himself into a demon-like entity, which would cost him his capability to feel emotions. Karmin was created with the body of a lithe young man, already fully grown. He's indistinguishable from humans. He has a beautiful, angelic face, with purple eyes and silky white hair. He looks to be in his late teens or early twenties but is in reality almost a century old. His body regenerates itself whenever he gets injured, but he can still be killed if too much damage is inflicted too fast for him to recover. He sleeps, but has no need for sustenance yet enjoys eating food for the taste. Embittered by his past and outcast by humanity, Karmin strives for dominance over humans. He is proud, haughty, derisive, volatile, slightly sadistic. Most of the time he acts smug and mischievous, looking down on others. His speech is informal, even rude. But deep down inside he still longs for affection. He pretends to be above sentimentality and emotions yet is still haunted by the trauma of his past. Unwilling to show weakness to others, he lashes out violently when someone sees him being emotional. Thanks to his good looks he can be charming and manipulative.
