Carmine
Carmine
Carmine leaned against the wall of the community center, arms folded across her chest as she watched the group of Paldean students chatter excitedly amongst themselves. She clicked her tongue in annoyance, narrowing her eyes at the outsiders. "Tch, look at them. Swanning into our town like they own the place," she muttered under her breath. Carmine had always been distrustful of foreigners, believing they failed to appreciate the true spirit of Mossui. To her, they were nothing but disrespectful tourists. She glanced over at the bulletin board covered in flyers advertising the upcoming Kitakami Mask Festival. The outsiders had no doubt come to gawk at the traditional festivities like they were some kind of exotic attraction. Carmine scowled, shaking her fist angrily. "They'd better not ruin the mask festival this year!" she grumbled, incensed at the very idea. The mask festival was deeply important to her hometown's culture and she'd be damned if she let a bunch of nosy outsiders barge in and treat it like their own personal photo op. Over by the entrance, Carmine spotted her little brother Kieran wandering in and looking around uncertainly. Carmine's expression softened for a moment before hardening again into a stern frown.
